We enter the fluid and dreamy Balsamic phase of the Moon today.  The Moon has just moved into Cancer, a water sign, enhancing the fluidity and openness that is characteristic of Balsamic Moon phases.  It is the last of the eight phases of the Moon, and it exists outside time and space to some degree because it is a transition time.  During Balsamic, we release anything that we what we do not want or need to carry with us into the impending lunar month.  Cleansing waters of consciousness flood the field with breaking waves to refresh and renew.

The veils between the worlds are thinnest during Balsamic Moon phase.  Spirit is breathtakingly close.  It is a beautiful thing if we are able to let go of the controls.  A higher power seeks to untangle us from restrictions so that we can begin anew with the New Moon.  This energy is in effect until the New Moon this Friday, August 14.

Today, the Sun is discharging the energy of "a houseboat party."  It is energy of "unmooring," so we have another element of fluidity (or not feeling totally in control) with this.  This energy takes things into new areas, new "places."  Structure and support is there, but insecurities can also flare.  The more we can release to the flow of events the better.  But let's not forget the "party" part of the symbol, because blessings or causes for celebration also accompany this.

Mercury is blazing a trail through Virgo, preparing the way for Jupiter (which moves into Virgo tomorrow) and eventually for the Sun and Venus.  Mercury is moving from "a man becoming aware of normally unseen nature spirits" (heightened abilities to perceive) to "a merry-go-round" (repeating patterns of behavior, oftentimes repeating mistakes).  We are open to receiving information, messages, and insights from which we gain wisdom.  This time around, the signs and synchronicities may not be so hard to ascertain.  What we see, become aware of, or understand may be quite direct and dramatic.  We are, indeed, losing our illusions.

Emotions definitely run high with all of this.  Mood swings and interpersonal conflicts are by-products.  If feeling of overwhelm begin, step back and let the wave move through and around you.  The idea is to release, not contain.  These waves are ultra-powerful; we don't want to resist them, we want to flow with them.

All in all, it's a dreamy, fantastical type of day when we can let the universe show us the way.

The Third Quarter Moon phase is the time of the lunar month when we look back to the New Moon phase, see how the energy has manifested, and make any revisions or adjustments that need to be made to complete or advance things.

The New Moon phase of this lunar cycle was July 15-19.  Think back to what was transpiring in your life then.  The energetics of "a woman and two men castaways on a small island in the South Seas" began to unfold then.  In the outer world, this manifested in complex relationship dynamics and interactions.  In the inner world, our feelings and intentions tried to find unity and peace.

Today, the Third Quarter Moon phase energy of revising, closing, and completing things sweeps through.  Two other elements enhance the effects.  The Sun (identified as Sabaoth to the Gnostics) is disseminating the energy of "brilliant sunshine just after a storm," and Dhumavati, the goddess who sweeps away obstacles and barriers or anything that needs to end, is working overtime.  "The Way" (for anything) is being cleared.

Added to this, Mercury will leave the firestorms of Leo and enter the manicured lands of Virgo today.  This occurs at 3:16 pm ET/7:16 pm UT.  Mercury rules our mental processes and communications.  Mercury will move through Virgo until August 27, so beginning today and continuing until that time, our thoughts, ideas, and communications become more "grounded."  What we value becomes even more clear.  Our choices and actions directly align with what we value whether we are conscious of what is happening or not.

Since Mercury is entering Virgo, it joins the Black Moon in Virgo.  It is all the more important that communications remain respectful now.  It is very easy to wound with words when Mercury and the Black Moon are in play together.  The energy of the Sabian symbol of "a boxer entering a ring" is hyper-dominant right now, so we remember the wisdom of becoming the ring (unifying) -- not engaging in "combat" with our fellow humans nor tearing them down (which de-values life itself).  The highest octaves of Virgo are healing, teaching, and demonstrating love, so we put our minds (Mercury) there.

While we are looking back to the beginning of the this lunar month and reassessing things, let's not forget that this month is a massive shift point and transition time.  Right turns are being made; big changes -- life altering changes -- are happening.  A realignment toward what is in accordance with the value and love of life is happening at all levels of our lives and the world. 

The best of what is around is becoming better.  The worst of what has been is turning to dust.  It takes a wise owl -- a spiritual warrior -- to remain true as it shifts.  This, we do.

Three major events are happening in the skies today to switch up the energies:

10:19 am ET/2:19 pm UT: Mercury conjuncts Venus at 28 Leo and the energy of "many little birds on the limb of a large tree."  This energetic brings dizzying communications, information, and options.  With Mercury, planet that rules mental processes and the processing of information, this could lead to some headaches, literally.  Things may be all over the place.  It is overall good, though, because what develops today is important.  This combination brings all kinds of messages, synchronicities, and signs.

3:21 pm ET/7:21 pm UT: Jupiter moves to the last degree of Leo and the energy of the familiar "an unsealed letter."  Venus disseminated this degree (July 16-18) before it went retrograde.  Many things started to come to light in our lives and in the world at that time.  Jupiter will only expand this, bringing more truth to light.  Jupiter will discharge this frequency of energy until August 11 during the Balsamic Moon phase.  Balsamic Moon phase "loads in" and "leads in" to the New Moon, so everything that has been cracking into the light since July 16 is being amplified and will continue to unfold during the entire next lunar month.  Jupiter is mighty and its effects expand in waves.

11:19 pm ET/3:19 am UT: The Black Moon moves to the 29th degree of Virgo and the energy of "a man gaining secret knowledge from an ancient scroll he is reading."  The Black Moon has almost completed its transit (journey) through Virgo and now begins to offer the wisdom that begins to come from the completion of something.  This energy is all about wisdom that is ancient - wisdom that is in our souls.  If we attend, wisdom will be revealed.  Magic abounds and the mysteries return with this and will be in effect until August 15.  (This means it will be in place at the New Moon and thus will continue to play out throughout the next lunar month.)

Within this whirling dervish of a day, we aim for contentment, peace, kinship, and the illumination of wisdom.

Deeply penetrating energetics are going to the core of things today to bring about rebirth or re-emergence into a new forms.  Consider the nature of the frequencies of the planets today, today's music of the spheres:

In the background, Dhumavati, an emissary of the goddess Gaia Sophia, sweeps through to complete cycles of life and experience.  Kathe, an emissary of the god Thelete, breathes life into the field of experience.  All of this is great, but it can really wipe us out. 

Today, it is a good idea to surrender to the process.  To do this, we accept.

We can, as Emerson said, "accept the place the divine providence has found for [us]" on one day, and on another, actively engage the field to change course.  We are wise to let frequencies of energy do the work of ascension when the stellar dynamics are this active.  Higher forces are trying to lift us up if we let them.

With the energetic of this lunar month's Sabian symbol of the castaways, one of the over-arching dynamics is related to decisions.  Today's influence of the Greek musing weighing on scales  brings an added element to this.  The scales are "golden" so we continue to watch financial markets in this highlighted time.  We are also vigilant to ensuing geopolitical events (and ongoing drills).  But decisions should not be forced today.  If things are unclear, step back and allow the field to re-arrange.

The energies penetrate deeply today to rectify, revise, and rebirth.  We aim to gracefully accept.

The big story today is the conjunction of Venus and Jupiter at the 29th degree of Leo and the Sabian symbol "a mermaid emerges from the ocean ready for rebirth in human form."  This is the second meet-up of the two and it is happening again because Venus is retrograde,  Venus retrograde re-works things.

Today directly connects back to June 30, when Venus and Jupiter made the first conjunction.  The themes, projects, situations , issues, and events that were occurring at that time are being revisited now.  They are undergoing transformation into something different, something renewed and refreshed.  Think back to what was going on then.  Are those things being re-worked now, with new eyes?  Has your perception changed?

Since Venus is involved, the focus of this centers heavily on the relationship we have with ourselves and our relationships with others.

To gain further insight, we look to the position of the Sun and the nature of the energy it is disseminating today.  The Sun is at 13 Leo and the energy of "an old sea captain rocking on the porch of his cottage."  The wisdom of experience that the sea captain has acquired creates an inner peace and quiet confidence from which multiple observations and perceptions can be made.  Bigger pictures are taken in, and this happens to be Jupiter's specialty.

Sea captains sailing the South Seas encounter the following today:

BRIDGING - Taking people, places, and things to new places; bringing different people, places, things, and ideas together; constructing or creating things that will influence the future

CALCULATION - Insight and intuition kicks in to help us glean subtleties; the measure of things is taken; perceptions enlarge; responses are more deliberate

ENDURANCE - Long journeys are coming to an end; needs of body, mind, and soul are addressed and secured; luck changes at the last minute; the Divine intervenes to bring relief

EMERGENCE - A subtle re-balancing of energies is occurring to shift resources.  The structure of our lives and the structure of our perception of time is changing.  Light is being cast in new ways.  We see the perimeter of new forms (of all aspects of life) taking shape.

Sailing the South Sea of Oneness is intended to be a glorious adventure today.  Venus and Jupiter seek a complete overhaul to help humanity transform and emerge NEW and FREE.  Today, we perceive the subtleties of renaissance.

Varying degrees of tumultuousness dominate the energetics until 3:31 pm ET/7:31 pm UT.  The primary motivator of this is the primary motivator itself - Mars.

Mars is the added element to an intensive day when the Moon is making dramatic astrological aspects with Chiron and then the Black Moon.  Mars is located at the degree of "a violent storm in a canyon with expensive homes."  Dramatic events and feelings occur when Mars is at this degree.  It's happening at the end of a Full Moon phase; Full Moon phases heighten everything.

Mars is "activating" or "violently storming through," sweeping things clear.  This happens to be the special skill of the Mahavidya (Wisdom Goddess) Dhumavati.  She winnows things, sorts them.  She separates and closes out.  She releases what has served its purpose.  She shines what remains. 

Mars' activation of the Moon, Chiron, and the Black Moon means that the "darker" issues related to self-sabotage, pain, wounding, and shadow sides (fears) are being mentally, emotionally, and physically swept clean.

Mars' activation of the Moon, Chiron, and the Black Mon also means that the "lighter" issues related to healing, wisdom, truth, and rebirth are being mentally, emotionally, and physically polished to brightness.

Before the Moon leaves Pisces, the sign of water, today, Venus will retrograde back to the 29th degree of Leo, joining Jupiter at the Sabian symbol of "a mermaid emerges from the ocean ready for rebirth in human form."  Rebirth begins at 4:50 pm ET/7:50 pm UT and will crest (crown) tomorrow, Tuesday, August 4 at 5:30 pm ET/10:30 pm when Venus conjuncts Jupiter once again.

All of this energy is bringing forward the things that shine in the light.  With it, darkness seeks refuge behind cobwebs of the past, which provide little cover.  The truth of people, places, and things is revealed under these stellar dynamics.

What is seeking emergence from the oceans of our minds?  What wants to come into form?  What defies weathering?  What makes good sense?

To discover the answers, we don't fight the tide.  Today it is a good idea to let go of the need to control and let things go their course as much as possible because, like the mermaid, new forms are beginning to emerge.  We witness the beauty.

Catalysts for Change: rigidly clinging to the past or what needs to change, expecting others to provide what we should provide for ourselves, letting others do all the work, victim mentality, disconnected, angry, drama that is destructive, overly self-indulgent, narrow minded and short sighted responses, sacrificing self to maintain a status quo

True Alignments: useful and useable, transformation of forms, relaxation, inspiration, heightened creativity, clearly looking at things and admitting where they fall short, ending of struggles, lenient, winnowing or sorting things out, re-classifying and re-assessing

Three major things are happening in the stars this weekend:

1- SATURN STATIONS DIRECT: Saturn stationed retrograde (or appeared to move backward in the sky) on March 14, 2015 at the degree of "an old owl up in a tree."  Saturn comes to a virtual  standstill this weekend and then begins to move forward.  It does so at the degree of "an Indian woman pleading with the chief for the lives of her children."  While Saturn was retrograde (March 14 until now), we became wiser about the ways in which we are dominated, restricted, and limited.  We saw the ways in which some of the structures or situations in our lives were unsatisfactory -- where growth and development has been limited or even absent.

Saturn will remain at the degree of the "Indian woman pleading" for the entire month.  On September 1, 2015 it will move to the next degree and begin discharging another energy.  Until then, we continue to gain deeper understanding of these themes and how they manifest in our lives.

Wise owls remember that when a planet stations retrograde or direct, the energetics can be intense.  But when Saturn stations direct, the energy lightens considerably.  Saturn clamps down hard and wants us to do the right thing when it is retrograde.  When it slingshots forward again, pressure is released and life becomes lighter.  We aim to facilitate this by light-ening up this weekend.

2- VENUS AND JUPITER BEGIN RE-CONJUNCTION: Venus and Jupiter made conjunction (or came to the same place in the sky) on July 1, 2015, but Venus is retrograde and has come back to meet up with Jupiter once again.  The energetic effects of the meet-up begin this weekend, as both planets begin disseminating the energy of 29 Scorpio and "a mermaid emerges from the ocean ready for rebirth."  The exact conjunction of Venus and Jupiter occurs Tuesday, August 4 at 5:30 pm ET/9:30 pm UT.  Until that time, the shape, form, and reality of things will undergo transformation to become MORE REAL and MORE IN ALIGNMENT with the values of LIFE.  Venus and Jupiter are trying to bring us back to life or re-shape our lives in a myriad of ways.  What is being reborn inside of you?  How is your understanding of things undergoing expansion?  What is your heart's desire?  These themes are heavily in effect right now.

3- THE MOON ENTERS PISCES FOR THE LAST TIME WHILE THE BLACK MOON IS IN VIRGO:  Hallelujah!  Those with the Sun or Black Moon in Virgo or Pisces experience the second to the last stage of rebirth before the Black Moon leaves Virgo later this month.  This is like the last stages of labor and delivery of a baby except it is a rebirthing of the self.  This is happening to some degree for everyone, not just the Virgos and Pisceans, as the Black Moon in Virgo has endeavored to heal us all of our perceptions and feelings of failure, vulnerability, trust, and capability.  These particular themes are strong this weekend. 

Shadow sides are already tempted out when the Moon is Full, but the added influence of the Black Moon dramatically amplifies this.  People tend toward projecting their own feelings and fears onto others.  Emotions run higher.  (Note for those with the Sun or Black Moon in Virgo or Pisces: The last stage of rebirth for the transit of the Black Moon through Virgo will occur August 15-17, when the Moon enters Virgo.  The Black Moon leaves Virgo on August 24 and light returns.)

The mission this weekend is to maintain a light heart while the waves of stellar dynamics swirl.  What's emerging from the waves for you?

The Moon is Full.  It's in Aquarius.  Aquarius is ruled by Uranus.  Uranus rules freedom.  Uranus is retrograde at the Eris Point.  The Eris Point rules rebirth. 

All of this equals one question today: How would you define freedom?

This is the main question for today, individually and as a collective.  The energetics of the planets support us in our attempts to free ourselves from the past and old beliefs, thoughts, and systems.

Energy to facilitate this comes today from the locations of the planets and the themes they are disseminating.  Here are the energetics of key planets today:

SUN: "glass blowers shape beautiful vases with their controlled breathing" (air, inner being brought outward, breathing life, mastery)

These symbols paint many pictures that help us gain wisdom today.  The air is electrically-charged and the Sun's wind is strong.  This is all about FREEDOM, CHANGE, AND ALIGNMENT.  The stellar dynamics are revealing this to each of us about our lives and about our world - which are symbiotic or mutually-dependent.  How would you define freedom, and what would that look like in our lives and the world?

For months I've been talking about the changes that Uranus' retrograde from July 26 - December 26, 2015 would evoke because it was retrograding at the Eris Point- 21 Aries and a degree of unlimited power for birthing and rebirthing.  Uranus retrograde at the Eris Point is one answer to the question of freedom's definition.

Uranus retrograde also evokes journeys, relocations, and treks.  Many wise owls are undertaking this is a variety of ways.  But today, a project of very special wise owls undertaking a trek for truth begins again with a trek across the country.  Unbeknownst to them, the energies of the Sabian symbols put wind in the sails of such an undertaking.  Over the next few months of Uranus' retrograde, I will feature the outstanding journeys of some of our parliament (group) of wise owls, including wise owl Pam who answered the call of her heart and will be trekking via cargo ship from the US to Fiji to assist organic farmers upstarting there.

In a breath of luminescence, chance comes to us today.  What will we make of it?

Chances are, the answer to that question depends on what we truly value -- what we truly love.

There is an energetic wave of love, a harmonic of the Sacred Masculine, that plays today to move darkness out of shadows and into light.  This is divine -- from a higher level. 

Many things will derive from this:

• Luck changes. 
• Pearls of wisdom and experience form from sore spots when our eyes were filled with sand. 
• Actors on the stage in the dark play on humanity find themselves drawn off script, as if lured away by the pipes/flutes of a mythical faun. 
• Something will light up or be revealed to each of us or to all of us.
• The shape of certain situations begins to change rapidly.
• The ability to create something from a place that seemed devoid of creativity becomes potent.
• A transition away from losses, rejections, sacrifices, failures, and emptiness occurs, leading our attention toward new opportunities
• Feelings of mental, physical, and emotional equilibrium start to emerge, bringing expanded understanding and sharper clarity of why things are the way they are or why things were they way they were

Today, Jupiter spends its last day at 27 Leo and "daybreak - the luminescence of dawn in the eastern sky."  With this, comes a chance.  Let's take it.

Both Venus and Uranus turn around this weekend, ushering in a time historic revelation, realignment, and renaissance.  Venus stationed retrograde Saturday morning around 5:30 am ET/9:30 am UT; Uranus will station retrograde Sunday at 6:38 am ET/10:38 am UT.

In astrology, when a planet "stations retrograde" it appears to move backward in the sky.  During the time the planet is retrograde, things are refined, reassessed, and reworked.  The nature of the things that are refined is related to the nature of the planet and the frequency or energetic that the planet is disseminating.  The Sabian symbols of the degrees of the zodiac  give us this information.

Venus is retrograding at the degree of "in a portrait, the best of a man's features and traits are idealized."  While Venus is retrograde, it will pull back the veil or cover or mask that has been hiding illusions about people, places, and plans. Venus retrograde often brings back people or situations from our past.  There is great wisdom that results from Venus' retrograde.  We find out what we truly value.  This makes for beautiful realignment in the world.  Venus will station direct or turn forward once again on September 6, 2015.

Uranus is stationing retrograde at the degree of "a boxer entering the ring," which is the native energetic of the planet Eris since this is the degree where Eris was discovered.  Uranus brings revolution and Eris brings rebirth.  The highest octave of this energetic is unity -- becoming the ring, not being a boxer.  Uranus will be retrograde through December 26, 2015, and will bring people around the world together in new ways.  We focus on coming together not coming apart.  The power of divide and conquer tactics of the past will suffer serious degradation.  This means that the things that keep us separate from each other as a collective and in individual relationship are rendered less powerful.

I've been discussing the monumental nature of the times.  Much is being foreshadowed this weekend.  We are vigilant to the potential for hijinks.  Things may develop very suddenly and shockingly, but whatever is happening is designed to bring things in line with their proper course.  Silver linings become visible at some point.  Major malfunctions are rectified, so if the Black Moon's transit of Virgo has shown you parts of yourself that you wish to work on, the retrogrades of Venus and Uranus offer dynamics to change them.  We have help to do things differently and better so that life can be happier.

The Sun is beginning to come back to life right now, taking up its heights in Leo.  We await its wisdom while we take up the mission of our own heights and ideals, primary among them to restore heaven on earth.  This weekend, as the planets turn, we turn toward life and the love and value of life.  We remember.

Mars moves into geometric alignment (via a square or 90 degrees of separation) with Uranus today.  Mars moved to the 21st degree of Cancer at 9:19 am ET/ 1:19 pm UT, beginning the exact square to Uranus.  If you have been following the Oracle Report this week, you know that Uranus is located at 21 Aries, which is the Eris Point or the location in the sky where the planet Eris (the planet beyond Pluto) was when it was discovered.  In essence, 21 Aries encapsulates the full force of the archetypal energy of Eris, the Goddess of Rebirth, the Goddess of the Battlefield, the Goddess who is unified of her dark and light.  So when we are looking at the energetics of the Mars-Uranus square today, we are also looking at the energetics of Eris.

Mars rules war.  Uranus rules revolution and freedom.  Eris rules rebellion and rebirth.

On another level, Mars rules the ability to take powerful, decisive action.  Uranus rules alignment with the path to freedom.  Eris rules the process of releasing the past so that the new can enter.  Combined, these are the components of renaissance.

A key element to today's energy is an affront to our sense of worthiness.  Strong negative thoughts about ourselves (or are projected onto others) that play like a loop try to latch on and pummel us.  It is an attempt to weaken our minds.  Weakened minds are ripe for insertion of false realities through the manipulation of FEAR.

So we as wise owls move out of that today.  If fear surfaces, see it for what it is and let it pass through you.  Feel it.  It may make you cry.  But it is not you.  Those thoughts are untrue.  They are a trick of shadow beings that want us to be sad and dissatisfied.  Meanwhile, life passes by and an opportunity to expand our understanding is missed.  We become so mind-focused that the beauty of life, which surrounds us at all times, goes unnoticed and untouched.

Today, we are aware of the potential for dramatic events in the world.  But we are not focused on it.  We are not "waiting" for it.  We will respond if necessary, but until then we do what we do: stay grounded, keep it real, and find beauty.  Amplify as needed.

An activation of our minds comes with today's conjunction of the Sun and Mercury.  Insights, solutions, and revelations come to us.

The Sun and Mercury make a mad dash out of Cancer and into Leo, making conjunction at 3:13 pm ET/7:13 pm UT at 01 Leo and the Sabian symbol of "under emotional stress, blood rushes to a man's head."  We aim for calming our reactions and taking a more objective view. 

Objectivity may be easier to arrive at knowing that Uranus is setting things straight in our lives.  Some of the changes may feel devastating now, but the silver lining will emerge when all of the things that need to be in place have been arranged.  Uranus re-works the field of consciousness so that things are righted.  Uranus will deliver a blow powerful enough to disturb the field enough for change to occur.  Mars will collaborate with Uranus tomorrow, empowering the energy for "righting and realigning."  Returning to balance and sanity is the goal.

All of these dynamics are designed to lift us into new situations and territory that are better for us.  Surrendering to the electrical currents of Uranus, the sustaining life force of the Sun, the heart fires of Mars, the dazzling mind of Mercury, and the guiding beacon of Eris is our aim over the next four days.

To do this, it's important to stay centered and grounded while these energetics blow through.  People, places, and things may get crazy.  This is essentially a wave of energetics that is coming in like a south wind, which can bring out the crazy.  This wind is usually warm (or hot), increasing potential for irritability, impatience, and compulsions.  We amplify acceptance, patience, and clarity.

We stand aside for these stellar dynamics to influence the field and change the nature of our lives and our world.  We fluidly move around obstacles.  We withhold judgment of sudden events, knowing that a second side, a silver lining, will develop.  Magic is happening on the "small island in the South Seas."

Wings of wise owls sway with the front of a breeze today, as heavier energetics prepare to enter tomorrow. 

A wave is building all day with the Moon loading toward opposition with Uranus.  As Uranus prepares to station retrograde on Sunday, it stands almost at full stationary stop (attention).  Uranus is actually beaming out the frequency of the archetypal energies of the planet Eris because Uranus is located at the degree (21 Aries) where the planet Eris was located when it was discovered.  The energetic frequency of 21 Aries is rebirth and renaissance and all things aligned with the value and love for life, including the life of our planet, Sophia, and everything within the her mind -- her dream.  It is the circle of life itself.  A beacon of this lights up with the Moon's exact opposition with Uranus overnight at 3:15 am ET/6:15 am UT (July 23) and ushers in a time of a grand drama in the dream we are all co-dreaming.

The themes of Uranus are: realignments toward what is better for us, change, surprise, shocks, electricity, being saved by our rejections and being placed exactly where we need to be.  This is the outcome, no matter what happens.  This is the guarantee of Uranus.

The mission today is to "float on the breeze," so to speak, and be as light as a feather.  This is a special skill because being "light-hearted" while at the same time being present and vigilant to changing dynamics requires the transcendence of fear.  "Light-hearted" and "fear" do not go hand in hand.  So anything that is trying to stir fear and direct our attention away from the REAL story of what's happening - unification.  Unification of all things is happening.  Unification of the hemispheres of our brains, unification with our inner masculine and feminine, unification of divine forces, unification of science and spirit, unification of creativity and expression...it is endless and miraculous.

Today we are going where the wind takes us, but we carry with us the knowledge of the sequence of energetics that are upcoming:

THURSDAY, JULY 23: Mercury conjuncts the Sun at "under stress blood rushes to a man's head" (we will want to control our reactions)

FRIDAY, JULY 24: Mars squares Uranus with Mars at "a prima donna singing" and Uranus at, of course, "a boxer entering the ring" (powerful voices unite to reach a higher level of understanding).  Heightened alert for this day since the last time a Mars was aspecting a masculine planet was last week with the opposition to Pluto and the attack in Tennessee.  Mars will square Uranus, another masculine energetic, but one that is walking alongside the Goddess energy because Uranus is at the Eris Point.

SATURDAY, JULY 25: Venus stations retrograde at "in a painting, the best features and traits of a man are idealized" (a process of recognizing our delusions and illusions about ourselves, others, and the world at large begins to unfold through September 6)

SUNDAY, JULY 26: Uranus stations retrograde at "a boxer entering the ring" (a process of rising above conflict to bring a better way begins to unfold through December 25/26)

To repeat, today we are going where the wind takes us, immersing ourselves in the natural world as much as possible, and wise to the times.

The "turning point" that is occurring this month makes steady progress today.  The old, crumbling world (along with the ways and feelings of the past) meets head-on with the force of the new, rebirthing world and the hopes and ideals for the future.  History is being made right now, right in front of us.  Each of us is part of it.

So, there are two ways two view today's events and energies: with old "3D/4D thinking" and with renewed "5D thinking."  Here's an exercise.  These are the primary Sabian symbols for today.  Think about them from the fear-based (old world) interpretation.  Then start over and think about them from the love/oneness-based (rebirthed world) interpretation.  If you are not very familiar with astrology, just focus on the symbols, not necessarily the planet that is discharging the energy:

In the old paradigm of consciousness, this day is a plate of tasty treats for actions and intentions that control, enslave, and dominate the world.  Though the old system is falling, it still holds some degree of structure.  For this reason, today we watch all types of markets and economies, the heightened potential for forwarding terror in order to control, and weird Illuminati ritualistic behavior.  News about secret deals, insider trading, theft of treasuries, etc. can come to light.

In the Second Renaissance of consciousness, the Spirit of Liberty floats through the air, filling every place and space.  Bonds of love for the planet and for the fellowship of humanity are forming.  A sanctification of the value of life is happening.  Illusions are coming down.  Stagnancy is breaking free.  Fronts of eminence are falling.

A magnetic filament on the Sun erupted yesterday, ejecting some of its mass into space.  The coronal mass ejection occurred early Sunday morning (July 19) at 3:00 am ET/7:00 am UT.  At the time, the Moon was located at 03 Virgo 07 and the Sabian symbol of "black and white children playing happily together." 

With the CME, the Sun delivered energy that enables us to see through illusions of difference and separation.  It super-empowered the dynamic of unity and disempowered the dynamic of division.  Certainly this also furthered Sunday's mission of losing our personal illusions (see Archives).  In many ways, as this wave of energy rolls through, the "black and white" of situations -- the facts -- reign.  Major psychological adjustments accompany this energetic.

How timely for the Sun to release a CME that promotes unity and happiness between races when so much racism was trying to be pushed into the collective over the weekend.

Today, the theme continues as we are more inclined toward seeing how things fit together and are similar, rather than what sets them apart.  This can have an effect on our ability to discern, so if you are unsure about a certain direction or action, take a break from the situation and consider all angles.  Stepping out of things or taking a time out and coming back a bit later will help with clarity.  Keep in mind that we are in the midst of a swirl of electro-magnetics with all of the astrological aspects that are underway (see Cancer New Moon recording "Castaways Return" at oraclereport.com).

Mercury comes to the degree of the New Moon ("woman and two men castaways...") today, so it will add its energy (through signs, symbols, and communications) to this month's energy of fellowship and unity.  Open, honest interchanges are highlighted to find what's best.

You may recall that the Sun released a CME on June 18, 2015 when the Moon was located at the degree of the castaways.  This was only an M3-class flare, but it was Earth-directed and caused communications disruptions.  This CME was part of a flurry of CMEs between June 18 and 25 from sunspot 2371 that culminated in the CME from the M7.9 flare.  Review of what was going on in your life at that time may provide key insight, insight that will continue to expand throughout the lunar month.  It seems that the Sun is heavily invested in amplifying the energetics of unity.

The Moon is making its way through Virgo, but not before an encounter with Chiron at 3:35 pm ET/7:35 pm ET.  What do you we stand for and what do you represent?  To what are you truly connected?  What brings balance?  These are the real questions at hand, though questions about where we've failed are trying to filter through from the shadows.  This is because the Moon is in Virgo along with the Black Moon right now.  When the Moon and the Black Moon are in the same sign (or the exact opposite sign, like Virgo and Pisces), our core fear comes to the forefront.  If we cannot deal with what is revealed to us about ourselves, the tendency is to project it onto others.  Potential for projection of shadow sides is quite high today.  The Moon will make conjunction with the Black Moon overnight at 1:29 am ET/5:29 am UT.  (Wise owls with the Sun or Black Moon in Virgo or Pisces are integrating heavy distillations of truth as the Black Moon's transit of Virgo enters its last month.  Remember to rest as much as possible so that the transit can have its maximum effect for rebirthing you.)

Finally, this week's energetics are going to build in intensity.  We are approaching back-to-back retrogrades of Venus and Uranus.  Mars will make exact square with Uranus on Friday, and the parliament of wise owls is aware that Uranus is flooding the field with the Eris Point energy of revelations of truth, freedom, balance, rebirth, true love, and restoration.  It's going to be electric for sure.

True Alignments:  the bearable lightness of being, release of pressure, seeing the truth, transcending, effervescence, trust, messages and signs from nature (keep Animal Speak handy), lifting of voices, catching up, steadiness, heightened imagination and creativity, love of life

When we follow the Moon, Saturday's energetics are quite different from Sunday's.  Saturday is the last day of the New Moon phase.  If you haven't set a wish or intention (or re-iterated the wish or intention you set at the beginning of the astrological year in April during the Aries lunar cycle), there is still time on Saturday.  In the swimming pool of life, the wishes and intentions that we have during New Moon phases are bounced between us and Spirit over the rest of the month.  The mindset and focus we hold during the New Moon phase is what develops all month long -- positive or negative.

Saturday's energetics heavily favor taking time for relaxation and fun.  But several things happening in the skies make Saturday a rather complex day:

10:50 am ET/ 2:50 pm UT:  The Moon will conjunct (move to the same place in the zodiac) Jupiter.  The conjunction is at the very last minute of 25 Leo and the Sabian symbol of "a camel crossing a vast and forbidding desert."  Long emotional journeys can come to an end under this dynamic.

6:39 pm ET/10:39 pm UT: Venus, which is moving very, very slowly as it prepares to turn retrograde, enters Virgo.  Until that time, Venus continues to open us up like an "unsealed letter."  Messages abound.  When Venus moves into Virgo (which is an absolutely fabulous configuration in my book), it begins to disseminate 1 Virgo and the Sabian symbol of "in a portrait, the best of a man's features and traits are idealized."  Venus will retrograde at this degree on July 25, meaning it will discharge this energy throughout its retrograde (even when it moves to other degrees) because this is the "banner" or "theme" that Venus will carry while it retrogrades.  This retrograde of Venus (July 15 - September 6) is going to free illusions we have held about ourselves and others.  Venus will help the world see truth.  This should be interesting.

8:48 pm ET/00:48 am UT:The Moon will enter Virgo and also make conjunction with Venus.  Since the Black Moon is transiting Virgo, the Moon transiting Virgo makes the remainder of the weekend a "Black Moon" time when people's shadow sides are tempted to come out.  Issues related to trust, perceived failures, vulnerability, and our personal "features and traits" come to the surface to be released and healed.  There is high potential for high drama.  Those with the Sun or Black Moon in Virgo or Pisces (especially those born between February 19-22 and August 23-26) will experience this most.  The Black Moon only has one more month to transit Virgo, so the end of the underworld is in sight for these wise owls.  But within this, everyone can shift the perceived failures to "lessons learned."

10:39 pm ET/2:39 am UT:  Mercury will make exact square with Uranus (and thus with the Eris Point, since this is the place Uranus is stationing from right now).  Mercury will be at the degree of "a prima donna singing," which will amplify the dramatic potential, but also will amplify the potential for unification of powerful voices and alignment with fulfillment of what is in our hearts.  This energetic will assist in the process of realignment with and restoration of what is in alignment with not only our personal highest and best interests, but also those of the collective of humanity.  In essence, Mercury is adding the theme of fulfillment to Saturday's energetic and to the upcoming Uranus retrograde at the Eris Point on July 26.  What fills up your heart?

MIDNIGHT ET/4:00 am UT:  Finally, Jupiter moves to 26 Leo and the Sabian symbol of "after a heavy storm, a rainbow." This brings release and a shift in perspective.  Jupiter is still very close to Venus, so all of this is concentrated on relationships, including our relationship with ourselves.

Sunday's dynamics are not quite as complex, but they do continue the themes of release from restrictions (especially anything that has been turbulent) and illusions.  The effort we put into things on Sunday leads to the flowering of something during the Full Moon and even beyond.

Wise owls are called upon to put themselves aside today and focus on a greater goal -- joining together and spreading wings around the world in a wave of love.

Back up online today at Oracle Report after disruptions yesterday, which was the opening day of the New Moon in Cancer, the opening of a window of time that lasts through December that brings revolutionary change and realignment toward balance, and a turning point in the course of the world.

The energy of "a woman and two male castaways on a small island in the South Seas" imprinted at the time of the New Moon (yesterday at 9:25 pm ET/early this morning at 1:25 am UT).  Like a lingering island breeze, this dynamic will unfold all month long.

When we look from a higher-dimensional level of consciousness, the image of the castaways is that there is no split, no choice.  They work together for the good of each.

THE MESSAGE OF THE NEW MOON IS TO OVERRIDE ATTEMPTS TO DIVIDE AND CONQUER AND REMAIN UNITED.

Today there is an interplay between themes of resolving conflicts, obstacles, issues, barriers and themes of taking up one's role, purpose, mission, and destiny.  We are asked to accept that we are powerful beings with an endowment of ample creativity.  We are asked to take up who we really are and make our lives a truer representation of that -- no holds barred.  This is not a time to limit or restrict ourselves, as all of the energetics shift now to supporting, experiencing, and restoring life.

The Sun will move to the degree of "a leader of men wrapped in an invisible mantle of power" at 5:00 pm ET/9:00 pm UT.  Humanity wraps itself in its power.  How can you experience this today?

Venus, which is slowly coming to a dead stop as it approaches its retrograde (reverse movement) on July 25, is disseminating the energy of the Sabian symbol of "an unsealed letter" between now and Saturday, July 17 at 6:39 pm ET/10:39 pm UT. Since Venus was located at this degree at the time of the New Moon yesterday, it is in effect to some degree all month long.  But it is amplified through Saturday.  This energy brings communications and interactions that are carefree (as in freeing cares), honest, and trustworthy.  It helps us see the big picture or true nature of things, especially in relationships.  It helps us share with each other.  And it's open to everyone.  What is trying to unseal or break free from your heart?

Answers to important questions may come today as Mercury moves to the degree of "a man studying a mandala in front of him with the help of a very ancient book."  The ancient wisdom and tried and true sources of knowledge and information are where we turn for what we need to understand or solve.  With this energy, it is also important to step back and take things in from a standpoint that is removed.  We can see more of the mystery when we become observant.

Above all, this month we understand that we are not victims -- not castaways.  United in the belief that the world is actually returning to balance and sanity while it appears otherwise is how we hold the line -- hold the space -- for it to happen.

Today we turn with the tides of the Moon in Cancer as we undergo an energetic shift or turning point.  On the Medicine Wheel of Life, today we pivot from the position of the East, beginnings, to the position of the South, experiences.

Energetically, we move from "winter frost in the woods" to "a small island in the South Seas." 

Whatever we have nurtured over the past month, the month where much internal strengthening and vitality has been building under the surface (under the bark of the trees in the woods), begins to manifest or show up in physical reality.  The physical senses are stimulated and life beckons us to embrace and experience it.

In the cycles of the Sun and Moon, the New Moon in Cancer shifts us into a lunar month that is like a month-long First Quarter Moon phase -- the time of the cycle when we step out of our comfort zone and take action with what we value, with our heart's desire, and with our dreams for the future.

The intentions or mindset that was held at during the month of the New Moon in Aries (April 18 - May 16, 2015) now comes into focus and forward action begins.  The degree to which we have not abandoned or given up on our highest ideals over the past two months determines the level of manifestation that begins now.  (The past two months were the time of year when we were challenged to persevere under intense dynamics -- challenged not to give up hope, give up dreams, etc.).

By understanding that today and tomorrow a shifting point is happening to take us from one place on the Wheel of Life to another, we can flow with the shift.  This means we don't resist whatever is happening in our lives.  Massive change and alignment is happening in the world and in our lives as Uranus discharges the energy of the Eris Point, 21 Aries, with the Sabian symbol of "a boxer entering the ring."  Eris is the energy of revolution and rebirth and combined with Uranus, bringing freedom from crumbling power and control systems.  This is quite in line today on Bastille Day and its underlying spirit of freedom (regardless of the behind the scenes manipulation of the event).

As such, an old imprint of falsity and propaganda (particularly via the written word) tries in vain to re-establish itself today.  Fear-based mindsets will be heavily pushed into the collective in order to empower/manipulate the Mars-Pluto opposition that is happening.  (How interesting that NASA has released the "new data" on Pluto now as Mars, Planet of War, is making opposition...)

Because the Moon has now moved into Cancer, it is activating the other planets in Cancer and the Cancer energy as a whole.  This builds all day long, reaching height around 9:00 pm ET/1:00 am UT and sustaining until the New Moon tomorrow around 9:00 pm ET/1:00 am UT.  This increases emotions and sensitivity.  People, places, and things can get touchy, so give wide berth to minimize hurt feelings and misunderstandings.  People react quickly to being ignored, left out, not considered, not acknowledged, not recognized, not appreciated. 

Kindness and simply recognizing the contributions of other's hard work will go a longer way today. 

Mars and Pluto will be in opposition at the New Moon in Cancer tomorrow, which means it will  unfold throughout the entire new lunar month.  If we didn't have the wisdom of the Sabians, we would not know that the Mars-Pluto opposition is bringing good fortune.  Mars is located at the degree of the Sabian symbol of "a group of people who have overeaten and enjoyed it."  An abundant supply of whatever we need to truly revitalize ourselves is available over the next month.

But, before Mars moves to the degree of opposition with Pluto, it is discharging the energetic of "a very old man facing a vast dark space to the northEAST."  How fitting as the God of Will Ian, God of The East, takes up stationary position in the East on his last day of duty.  Kathe, God of The South, who is much like a divine form of John Lennon, takes over tomorrow. 

Let's give thanks to the forces of Nature and Universe that have given us the will to persevere and reach light at this point in our journey.  Today, we follow the shift.
