The Sun released a coronal mass ejection from a C3-class solar flare today at 1:27 am ET/5:27 am UT.  Since it has been a while since we've had a CME, new readers (wise owls) see that we look at the position of the Moon at the time of the CME to understand the nature of the energy that was amplified (via the electric universe) with the blast.

The Moon was located at 28 Libra 02 and the Sabian symbol for 29 Libra: "mankind's vast enduring effort to reach for knowledge transferable from generation to generation -- knowledge."  This symbol is about outreach, awareness, and the continuation of heritage. We come together or unify when we have knowledge and understanding.   

Our experiences turn knowledge into wisdom.  The wise take on the adventure of life to experience, learn, and share things.  Our experiences turn knowledge into wisdom.  This is why someone who is very young but has experienced a lot is often wiser than their years.  Age is relative in all things, but especially with wisdom.  The wisdom of the ancient Sabian symbols tells us that the Sun wishes us to know that we are durable and ever-lasting, and that super-human feats of consciousness are not only possible, but inherited.

Interestingly, both Venus and Saturn are at locations of Sabian symbols for Native Americans.  Venus (retrograde) is at 20 Leo and the energy of "American Indians perform a ritual to the Sun."  Saturn is at 29 Scorpio and "an Indian woman pleading with the chief for the lives of her children."  Knowledge of these energetics and wisdom of experience with them tells us that to maintain a good grounded center, we return to the natural or basic elements of situations.  

The combination of these specific symbols with these specific planets would also reveal any place in our lives where we have given or are giving away our power, especially in relationships.  Power and control dynamics show up with this dynamic.  Things can go very deeply with this (very dark even) because the Moon is in Scorpio and building toward a square with Mars.  Exact square of the Moon and Mars occurs around 9:00 pm ET/01:00 am UT.

The Moon rules our emotions and Mars initiates, ignites, and inflames things.  The Moon will be at 7 Scorpio and the energy of the Sabian symbol "deep sea divers;" Mars will be at 7 Leo and "the Moon shining across the lake."  Translation: reflections of the unconscious emerge.  This is an energy where, on the lower octave, people act out their emotions and moods and create drama.  On the higher octave, people are mesmerized by the beauty and reflection of nature, which reveals knowledge.

A bigger wave is developing, however, and something big is coming from it.  Today and tomorrow the Sun is moving into a square (90 degrees away) with Saturn.  At the time of the square, the Sun will be discharging the energy of 29 Leo and "a mermaid emerges from the ocean ready for rebirth in human form."  Remember that Saturn is at "an Indian woman pleading with the chief for the lives of her children."  Rebirth -- renaissance -- is empowered as old power and control systems (and limiting thoughts and beliefs) are pulverized.  Exact square of the Sun and Saturn occurs Friday, August 21 at 7:20 pm ET/11:20 pm UT but will build until then.

As the Sun discharges the energy of the Sabian symbol "daybreak: the luminescence of dawn in the eastern sky" today, we gradually start to have realizations, see opportunities, and enter realms of new possibilities.

The Moon will oppose Uranus (which is still located at the Eris Point - 21 Aries) at 10:22 am ET/2:22 pm ET.  To some degree, unexpected things pop up -- things we perhaps did not foresee.  Like the dawn, the light is breaking through.

Stark truth is revealed when light begins to break through.  Venus is retrograde and will be in a trine configuration with Uranus/Eris Point, which means it will amplify, pinpoint, and facilitate what we are being asked by Venus' retrograde, but it will do it in ways that that are deep, lasting, and maybe a little surprising (even shocking).

Venus' retrograde is trying  to evolve or re-align our values.  Venus' retrograde is asking us:

WHAT IS YOUR belief, attitude, character, code, conduct, conscience, ethic, conception, conviction, appraisal, assessment, logic, outlook, idea, reason, rationale, system, standard, sense of duty, sense of honor, truth, view, and wisdom?

WHAT DO YOU adore, treasure, appreciate, cherish, extol, revere, honor, respect, prize, and commend?

These are our ideals of greatness, the main energetic of renaissance, behind the scenes this solar-lunar year.

Today, the music of the spheres (which is everything from the energies of the planets to the mind of God) wants to take us out of an energetic of "night" or "dark night" toward something lighter and brighter.  Light begins to shine on any place where we have lingering feelings of fear, doubt, uncertainty, and loss.

Today's energy is definitely a gradual or progressive thing.  Things build or become clearer as the day grows.  All kinds of things are beginning and being reborn in a new way. 

Renaissance: the luminescence of truth dawns in all of the skies.

"The constellations of stars in the sky" reveal much today:

REASSURANCE, RELIEF, OR RELEASE: The energies today are very "air-focused" which means breathing air, life, and room into situations.  Heaviness is trying to be lifted from our hearts.  To facilitate this, we can "look up" -- meaning we can turn to a higher power.  (Keep an eye on the skies - especially for birds, as this month the bird tribes are delivering messages.  Different birds have different messages.  Ted Andrews' books and works are recommended.)

TESTING:  Today brings a dynamic that can lead us to test or gauge people, places, and things.  We are trying to "get a read" on where things stand.  Problems are trying to be solved.  The problem is, trying to solve the problem by setting up situations where someone's reaction provides some kind of judgment is actually a manipulation -- a set up.  Thus, it is not an accurate assessment of anything of real.  Direct communication is best for assessment.

PATTERNS:  Since this month, the universe is trying to help us "get the message" (about whatever is important to our course in life), we want to be vigilant to patterns.  If we are receptive or present or, better yet, immersed in the field of consciousness around us (paying attention), we see when things repeat.  An "angel" may be trying to get you to notice something.

The Sun is located at the degree of "after a heavy storm, a rainbow."  Let's engage the living dream today and expand our perception as far as the light spectrum can take us.

The quiet Sun and a misty cloud covering the Moon give our psyches an opportunity for pause.  We want to take the opportunity because the energy will distort all kinds of things today.  When we pause to consider, we open a path of communication with Wisdom.

Spirit, higher self, etc. delivers information, guidance, and direction to us on this open path.  This helps us see through the distortions.  We see that anything that is distorting is happening so that we recognize it.  Things go out-of-bounds or are dramatically highlighted with flashing neon lights so that we will see them.  If we are deeply in darkness or denial, the lights are much brighter -- even blinding.  We are supposed to see and understand things about ourselves, our relationships, our world, and our planet right now.

Mercury is discharging the energy of "a volcanic eruption."  Mercury rules communication, travel, messages, information, deliveries, speech, and speed.  Things want to and often do burst out of people's mouths -- things that they have been building up under the surface for some time.  White-hot lava pools of anger can seethe.  Pent-up feelings seek release.  Something inside wants recognition and rectification.

To see and understand things at a deeper level and also to appropriately handle our own and other's feelings, today we leave room to "change our minds" -- meaning look at something a different way.  Room for a change in attitude will alleviate a lot of frustration today.  When we give pause, we can change our thinking.  We can alter the field of experience by looking beyond the distortion - the eruption - and see something more.  What is it really about?  The anger or eruption or feelings are symptomatic of something else.

We don't have to erupt.  We are not at the mercy of anything, especially enemies of the mind.  We can release, and we can do it honorably and with respect for everyone, including ourselves.

The Moon will conjunct the Black Moon in Virgo today for the last time for about the next nine years.  The Sabian symbol for the conjunction, which builds until 2:40 pm ET/6:40 pm UT today, is "having an urgent task to complete, a man doesn't look to any distractions."  We might substitute distortions for distractions.  This energy is about staying true to our path, staying true to ourselves, staying true to our mission.  If something is out of balance with that, it will show up today for us to see.  The past, especially the parts of the past that we've seen as failure, is falling to ash as the Black Moon leaves Virgo.  We remember that the phoenix rises from ashes.

So as the truth about all kinds of things enlightens us today, we will pace ourselves to enable time for pause and time to see the guideposts that are along the way.  We understand that anger and frustration are signs that something needs to change.  We open the path and see beyond the distortions.

The fires of the New Moon in Leo entered yesterday and it is already shaping up to be wild:

1- DORMANT VOLCANO COTOPAXI IN ECUADOR ERUPTS: How interesting that on the eve of the Dormition of The Mother (which remains posted below), a DORMANT or sleeping volcano erupts!  Cotopaxi is a massive volcano with a unique equatorial glacier.  Cotopaxi is a Queche Maya amalgamation of words meaning "Shy Lady" and sometimes "The Neck of the Moon." 

It would seem Mother Earth reminds us (and more to the point, reminds those that seek her destruction) that she is not asleep nor is she weak.  The lunar month's energy of receiving messages, direction, and guidance is received loud and clear.

2- A STRONG TO EXTREME GEOMAGNETIC STORM IS IN EFFECT:  The K- index has jumped to 7+ (G3+), which is massive.  There is a gaping coronal hole on the Sun, but no sunspot activity to speak of.  But there's something special happening with the Sun as...

3- VENUS MAKES INFERIOR CONJUNCTION WITH THE SUN:  Venus, which is retrograde, will come directly between the Earth and the Sun on Saturday, exact conjunction or alignment is 3:21 pm ET/7:21 pm UT.  The conjunction is at 23 Leo and the Sabian symbol of "a bareback rider in a circus displays her dangerous skill."  Energy to masterfully defy the odds - defy the status quo or usual old way bursts onto the scene.  Courage abounds.  This contributes significantly to renaissance.

The conjunction of Venus and the Sun is only one degree off from the conjunction of Venus and Jupiter on June 30/July 1, so the situations, circumstances, and events happening then are coming to another level or status now.

4- THE BLACK MOON MOVES TO THE LAST DEGREE OF VIRGO AND THE MOON HAS MOVED INTO VIRGO:  This makes for the last "Black Moon Days" or days when the fear shadows of personal "failures", vulnerability, distrust, and incapability are in full focus.  This won't happen again for 9 years, and I daresay that there will never be another transit of the Black Moon like the transit of the Black Moon as the November 26, 2014 - August 24, 2015 transit of the Black Moon through Virgo (more info in the Special Message for Virgos and Pisces on the homepage of oraclereport). 

The Moon will remain in Virgo, and thus complete the last stage of rebirth for those with the Sun or Black Moon in Virgo or Pisces, until Monday, August 17 at 4:23 pm ET/8:23 pm UT.  In general, it is a time when people tend to project their own fears and feelings onto others.

The last degree of Virgo is the Sabian symbol of "having an urgent task to complete, a man doesn't look to any distractions."  Help to stay on the true course if offered by...

5- JUPITER MOVING TO THE SECOND DEGREE OF VIRGO: And the answer to how to stay on true course comes from the Sabian symbol of "a large white cross dominating the landscape stands alone on top of a high hill."  Stay true to course by staying true to a higher spiritual power.  This is where we place our energy - not on fear.

Catalysts for Change: spreading lies, neglecting body by being "out of body," inability to commut, trying to control the elements of nature, messages that promote fear, loss of balance in life, misunderstandings, resisting new directions and courses

Today the energy shifts with the New Moon, as last month's "castaways" now receive words of guidance, direction, and purpose - how divine.  This lunar month we begin to understand and integrate all that start happening last month.  It will actually take two lunar months for it all to unfold - that's how much raw information/light for shifting began to come in. 

Lucky for us we have two lunar months that are like month-long Gibbous Moon phase, the time of the year when magic and mystery pepper our psyches to help us understand and integrate.  This year, we have an extended period of time that is "feminine" - receptive.  Between now until October 11, 2015, we are the beneficiaries of the dreaming magic of Gaia Sophia to help us gain wisdom and fall back in love with life.

Please utilize the list of True Alignments (positive imprints) and Catalysts for Change (negative imprints) above for guidance today because I want to spend the time here talking about August 15, "Wave X," or "Kathe's Wave" as I prefer to call it.

What I have to offer to the discussion is that in the Greek Orthodox Church (which, along with the Russian Orthodox Church, is where the ancient Gnostic or worldwide knowledge of Gaia Sophia maintained as much cohesion as was possible) the holiday or holy day of August 15 is known as The Dormition of the Thetokos or the Falling Asleep of The Mother.  It is a memory or remembrance that Gaia Sophia fell asleep or began dreaming soon after her coalescence as a physical being (our planet).

Tomorrow's efforts of the large hadron collider, timed to the Dormition, are an attempt to put Sophia, the planet and thus us, back to sleep.  It's an attempt to take us backwards -- in reverse of life, consciousness, and joy.  It will not work.  But the magic of Kathe's Wave and the ferocity of the Wisdom Goddess Bhairavi to bring us into higher states of spirituality, connection, and UNITY - along with the intentions of beautiful human souls around the planet - are far more powerful than the large hadron contraption.  It simply won't work.  Truth and love prevails now.

How does two months of magic to re-enchant the world sound to you?  Sounds pretty good to me.  No Fear.  Find beauty.  Attend to wisdom.

Catalysts for Change: showing off/bragging/arrogance, conquests, confused, two faced, selfish/only considering one's own needs and desires, conformity, trying to maintain the status quo when it no longer is working, gossip, learned helplessness

True Alignments: taking others into account, impressive displays of the heart, making an effort, rewards for hard work, point of observation, hope, living life, compassion, dreams and aspirations, the "ideal" being revealed, seeing beyond the shadows

Today is the last day of the Balsamic Moon phase, the phase where we release any elements (feelings, thoughts, beliefs, etc.) of the past lunar month that we do not want to carry forward into the next lunar month, which begins tomorrow.

One of the good things about following the Moon phases, and thus aligning with natural (nature) cycles, is that it provides a structure or framework for walking through life in conscious connection.  Essentially, we walk a Medicine Wheel with the Divine instead of wandering around willy-nilly or floating in space without any sense of patterns and cycles.  Following the phases is grounding and purposeful.

As we close out this cycle of the Moon (and we do so with the Queen of Closing, Dhumavati), things may feel very transitory or in flux today.  This lunar month has been a turning point, so things that still need to turn a certain way will today.

The Sun will complete the energy of the Sabian symbol "intoxicated chickens dizzily flapping their wings trying to fly."  Things may require extra effort to get going.  Our minds can be scattered when the Sun is here, so we won't be too hard on ourselves about it.  In fact, new opportunities emerge when things scatter.  The mystery of what was unintended - the Unknown - can unfold.

Closings and endings can feel like loss, and this is emphasized by the Earth completing the energy of the Sabian symbol "a woman, disappointed and disillusioned, courageously facing a seemingly empty life."  This is one of the most emotionally-challenging of the 360 symbols.  When we have the courage to face something, the outcome changes; what seemed hopeless or forgone suddenly begins to open into something new and different.  The key here is the courage to face.  And within this lies a certain degree of acceptance.

There is a strong current of energy today that pushes our will -- our desire -- forward.  Actions undertaken for the benefit of all heavily amplified, and actions undertaken to the detriment of all will backfire.

It's very important to consider things from another's point of view or from the other side today.  This is because some things may not be clear to us right now.  Consider how someone else involved may think or feel.

Today also highlights any "places" where we are living in accordance with what others want for us and not in accordance our own will or desire.  This may spark through anger.

The "castaways" on the island in South Seas spot a white bird.  It has something to deliver to them.  "A carrier pigeon fulfilling its mission" is the Sabian symbol for the new lunar month that starts tomorrow.  What could the message be?

Catalysts for Change:  unreceptive to change, inexperience, overindulgence in alcohol (this is not a day to take risks with anything is alcohol is involved), putting on too much pressure, disillusioned and disappointed and wallowing in it (it's just a teacher), getting nowhere, trendy, not grounded in the value of the present moment, gloom

True Alignments: endurance, gaining wisdom through reading something unexpected, breaking through illusion, projecting future plans but remaining grounded in reality, originality, reconnecting, humor, patience with self, radiation of inner light

Today's energetics may become progressively confusing and frustrating as the day expands, so let's focus on what's happening beyond this.  When we can see ahead, it makes us feel like we are prepared or more at peace.  It's not necessary to look ahead to feel this way, because we are always held in divine support. 

Nonetheless, let's break it down now in a short summary that I will expand on when the New Moon is Leo overview is recorded tomorrow:

1- THE NEW MOON APPROACHES and with it a new lunar month's type of energy.  The New Moon is in Leo on Friday, August 14 at 10:52 am ET/2:52 pm UT at 22 Leo.  The Sabian symbol for the new lunar month is "a carrier pigeon fulfilling its mission."  I will talk much more about this symbol in the recording, but this is about communication, messages, waves, and goals.  The point to catch today is that we move out of the watery, emotional realms of Cancer and into the fiery action of Leo.  That's a big elemental change.  So the feelings that come from this sort of switch can be confusing and testing, but ultimately TRANSFORMATIONAL.  This past month has been a shift point - a turning point - when we transition from things being one way to another.  As this lunar month completes over today and tomorrow, shift will happen.

2- VENUS CONJUNCTS THE SUN just a day later on Saturday, August 15 -- a much-discussed day.  Venus is retrograde so it is COMING BACK to the Sun and meeting up at 23 Leo.  23 Leo is the energy of "a bareback rider in a circus displays her dangerous skill."  This is the heart of it.  Shift will be acrobatic. The conjunction of Venus and the Sun happens in tight trine (120 degrees; facilitative) to Uranus, and thus the Eris Point since this is where Uranus is located.  A great deal of anxiety is also built in because, when Uranus is activated, it perturbs or shakes-up people, places, and things.  It can drive people, places, and things crazy if it happens too quickly.  But it is all about putting things in proper alignment with what is highest and best and what is in our destiny.  However, and most importantly, all of this energy provides a great deal of LOVE, which is spreading in waves all over the planet bringing greater truth, freedom, and unity.

3- JUPITER AND THE BLACK MOON WILL MOVE TO NEW DEGREES IN VIRGO on Saturday also.  Jupiter will move to the second degree and the Black Moon will move to the last.  Jupiter goes outward and the Black Moon goes inward as they take the opportunity to make us more luminous - more of the "luminous child" notion, as discussed in the latest "Parliament of Wise Owls" (POWO) posted and linked on oraclereport.com. This dynamic is intense and can feel like being pulled apart.  This is especially true right now for those with the Sun or Black Moon in Virgo or Pisces, and I will post a special audio message to these wise owls later today about what may help the process.

We watch all of the events, circumstances, conditions, and situations today from the perspective of observing shift.  The old is being released so that the new can enter.  We continue to hold the line and hold the space as shift occurs.

Jupiter's thunderbolts and it's Doves of Peace entered Virgo at 7:13 am ET/11:13 today, offering the energy of the Sabian symbol for 01 Virgo: "in a portrait, the best of a man's features and traits are idealized." Since this is the degree where Venus went retrograde on July 25, the themes of seeing the truth are activated once again. 

And for a jump ahead, after Venus begins to move forward again, it will come back to this degree --01 Virgo-- and re-activate the massive "truth" energy associated with it on October 8, just prior to the very important Libra lunar cycle that begins on October 12.  Events between today and Saturday correlate directly back to July 19-31 and then to October 12, so we can make a note and track the pattern -- the evolution of the situations, circumstances, and conditions taking place.

That said, it's a hard slam and a deep dive for Jupiter to enter Virgo while the Black Moon is trying to leave it.  Jupiter stands at one end of Virgo and the Black Moon at the other.  Jupiter expands.  The Black Moon reveals.  We are in the middle.  Hyper-expansion, hyper-criticism, hyper-self-criticism, hyper-perceptions of failure, hyper-focus, hyper-martyrdom, hyper-self sabotage, hyper-self-persecution are what come from this combination of the planets.

What do we do?  We hit the "hyper drive" and move out of it, rise above it.  All that is needed to do this is provided by the energetics of the Sun and the Earth today.  The Sun is disseminating "American Indians perform a ritual to the Sun" and the Earth is disseminating "a large white dove bearing a message."  We turn to the light for guidance and assistance.

When Jupiter went into Virgo earlier today, the Moon was in opposition with Pluto.  This adds a hyper-emotional but hyper-transformational element to the process.  TRUTH and losing illusions remains at high levels until Saturday, August 15 at 10:19 pm ET/Sunday, August 16 at 2:19 am UT.  Denial is broken and delusions are shattered as truth, light, peace, and love override everything.

As discussed yesterday, the Moon in Cancer during a Balsamic Moon phase makes things very, very watery, emotional, and fluid.  This continues to be the case today so we moderate that by slowing down, taking deep breaths, going outdoors, connecting with nature, seeing beyond the surface of what is showing, bravely facing whatever we see about ourselves or others, and accepting the real truth of matters.

Guidance and assistance is found today through prayers or requests or questions to Spirit and then saying thank you.  What we need to know or see or hear or do will soon become evident.  This we know from the Sabian symbols of the "American Indians sun ritual" and the "large white dove carrying a message."

All of this is leading, as we are leading, into the New Moon at the energy of the Sabian symbol of "a carrier pigeon fulfilling its mission."  Today, we get the message and we see it unfold throughout the next lunar month.  We attend to its wisdom.

We enter the fluid and dreamy Balsamic phase of the Moon today.  The Moon has just moved into Cancer, a water sign, enhancing the fluidity and openness that is characteristic of Balsamic Moon phases.  It is the last of the eight phases of the Moon, and it exists outside time and space to some degree because it is a transition time.  During Balsamic, we release anything that we what we do not want or need to carry with us into the impending lunar month.  Cleansing waters of consciousness flood the field with breaking waves to refresh and renew.

The veils between the worlds are thinnest during Balsamic Moon phase.  Spirit is breathtakingly close.  It is a beautiful thing if we are able to let go of the controls.  A higher power seeks to untangle us from restrictions so that we can begin anew with the New Moon.  This energy is in effect until the New Moon this Friday, August 14.

Today, the Sun is discharging the energy of "a houseboat party."  It is energy of "unmooring," so we have another element of fluidity (or not feeling totally in control) with this.  This energy takes things into new areas, new "places."  Structure and support is there, but insecurities can also flare.  The more we can release to the flow of events the better.  But let's not forget the "party" part of the symbol, because blessings or causes for celebration also accompany this.

Mercury is blazing a trail through Virgo, preparing the way for Jupiter (which moves into Virgo tomorrow) and eventually for the Sun and Venus.  Mercury is moving from "a man becoming aware of normally unseen nature spirits" (heightened abilities to perceive) to "a merry-go-round" (repeating patterns of behavior, oftentimes repeating mistakes).  We are open to receiving information, messages, and insights from which we gain wisdom.  This time around, the signs and synchronicities may not be so hard to ascertain.  What we see, become aware of, or understand may be quite direct and dramatic.  We are, indeed, losing our illusions.

Emotions definitely run high with all of this.  Mood swings and interpersonal conflicts are by-products.  If feeling of overwhelm begin, step back and let the wave move through and around you.  The idea is to release, not contain.  These waves are ultra-powerful; we don't want to resist them, we want to flow with them.

All in all, it's a dreamy, fantastical type of day when we can let the universe show us the way.

The Third Quarter Moon phase is the time of the lunar month when we look back to the New Moon phase, see how the energy has manifested, and make any revisions or adjustments that need to be made to complete or advance things.

The New Moon phase of this lunar cycle was July 15-19.  Think back to what was transpiring in your life then.  The energetics of "a woman and two men castaways on a small island in the South Seas" began to unfold then.  In the outer world, this manifested in complex relationship dynamics and interactions.  In the inner world, our feelings and intentions tried to find unity and peace.

Today, the Third Quarter Moon phase energy of revising, closing, and completing things sweeps through.  Two other elements enhance the effects.  The Sun (identified as Sabaoth to the Gnostics) is disseminating the energy of "brilliant sunshine just after a storm," and Dhumavati, the goddess who sweeps away obstacles and barriers or anything that needs to end, is working overtime.  "The Way" (for anything) is being cleared.

Added to this, Mercury will leave the firestorms of Leo and enter the manicured lands of Virgo today.  This occurs at 3:16 pm ET/7:16 pm UT.  Mercury rules our mental processes and communications.  Mercury will move through Virgo until August 27, so beginning today and continuing until that time, our thoughts, ideas, and communications become more "grounded."  What we value becomes even more clear.  Our choices and actions directly align with what we value whether we are conscious of what is happening or not.

Since Mercury is entering Virgo, it joins the Black Moon in Virgo.  It is all the more important that communications remain respectful now.  It is very easy to wound with words when Mercury and the Black Moon are in play together.  The energy of the Sabian symbol of "a boxer entering a ring" is hyper-dominant right now, so we remember the wisdom of becoming the ring (unifying) -- not engaging in "combat" with our fellow humans nor tearing them down (which de-values life itself).  The highest octaves of Virgo are healing, teaching, and demonstrating love, so we put our minds (Mercury) there.

While we are looking back to the beginning of the this lunar month and reassessing things, let's not forget that this month is a massive shift point and transition time.  Right turns are being made; big changes -- life altering changes -- are happening.  A realignment toward what is in accordance with the value and love of life is happening at all levels of our lives and the world. 

The best of what is around is becoming better.  The worst of what has been is turning to dust.  It takes a wise owl -- a spiritual warrior -- to remain true as it shifts.  This, we do.

Three major events are happening in the skies today to switch up the energies:

10:19 am ET/2:19 pm UT: Mercury conjuncts Venus at 28 Leo and the energy of "many little birds on the limb of a large tree."  This energetic brings dizzying communications, information, and options.  With Mercury, planet that rules mental processes and the processing of information, this could lead to some headaches, literally.  Things may be all over the place.  It is overall good, though, because what develops today is important.  This combination brings all kinds of messages, synchronicities, and signs.

3:21 pm ET/7:21 pm UT: Jupiter moves to the last degree of Leo and the energy of the familiar "an unsealed letter."  Venus disseminated this degree (July 16-18) before it went retrograde.  Many things started to come to light in our lives and in the world at that time.  Jupiter will only expand this, bringing more truth to light.  Jupiter will discharge this frequency of energy until August 11 during the Balsamic Moon phase.  Balsamic Moon phase "loads in" and "leads in" to the New Moon, so everything that has been cracking into the light since July 16 is being amplified and will continue to unfold during the entire next lunar month.  Jupiter is mighty and its effects expand in waves.

11:19 pm ET/3:19 am UT: The Black Moon moves to the 29th degree of Virgo and the energy of "a man gaining secret knowledge from an ancient scroll he is reading."  The Black Moon has almost completed its transit (journey) through Virgo and now begins to offer the wisdom that begins to come from the completion of something.  This energy is all about wisdom that is ancient - wisdom that is in our souls.  If we attend, wisdom will be revealed.  Magic abounds and the mysteries return with this and will be in effect until August 15.  (This means it will be in place at the New Moon and thus will continue to play out throughout the next lunar month.)

Within this whirling dervish of a day, we aim for contentment, peace, kinship, and the illumination of wisdom.

In the background, Dhumavati, an emissary of the goddess Gaia Sophia, sweeps through to complete cycles of life and experience.  Kathe, an emissary of the god Thelete, breathes life into the field of experience.  All of this is great, but it can really wipe us out. 

Today, it is a good idea to surrender to the process.  To do this, we accept.

We can, as Emerson said, "accept the place the divine providence has found for [us]" on one day, and on another, actively engage the field to change course.  We are wise to let frequencies of energy do the work of ascension when the stellar dynamics are this active.  Higher forces are trying to lift us up if we let them.

With the energetic of this lunar month's Sabian symbol of the castaways, one of the over-arching dynamics is related to decisions.  Today's influence of the Greek musing weighing on scales  brings an added element to this.  The scales are "golden" so we continue to watch financial markets in this highlighted time.  We are also vigilant to ensuing geopolitical events (and ongoing drills).  But decisions should not be forced today.  If things are unclear, step back and allow the field to re-arrange.

The big story today is the conjunction of Venus and Jupiter at the 29th degree of Leo and the Sabian symbol "a mermaid emerges from the ocean ready for rebirth in human form."  This is the second meet-up of the two and it is happening again because Venus is retrograde,  Venus retrograde re-works things.

Today directly connects back to June 30, when Venus and Jupiter made the first conjunction.  The themes, projects, situations , issues, and events that were occurring at that time are being revisited now.  They are undergoing transformation into something different, something renewed and refreshed.  Think back to what was going on then.  Are those things being re-worked now, with new eyes?  Has your perception changed?

Since Venus is involved, the focus of this centers heavily on the relationship we have with ourselves and our relationships with others.

To gain further insight, we look to the position of the Sun and the nature of the energy it is disseminating today.  The Sun is at 13 Leo and the energy of "an old sea captain rocking on the porch of his cottage."  The wisdom of experience that the sea captain has acquired creates an inner peace and quiet confidence from which multiple observations and perceptions can be made.  Bigger pictures are taken in, and this happens to be Jupiter's specialty.

BRIDGING - Taking people, places, and things to new places; bringing different people, places, things, and ideas together; constructing or creating things that will influence the future

EMERGENCE - A subtle re-balancing of energies is occurring to shift resources.  The structure of our lives and the structure of our perception of time is changing.  Light is being cast in new ways.  We see the perimeter of new forms (of all aspects of life) taking shape.

Varying degrees of tumultuousness dominate the energetics until 3:31 pm ET/7:31 pm UT.  The primary motivator of this is the primary motivator itself - Mars.

Mars is the added element to an intensive day when the Moon is making dramatic astrological aspects with Chiron and then the Black Moon.  Mars is located at the degree of "a violent storm in a canyon with expensive homes."  Dramatic events and feelings occur when Mars is at this degree.  It's happening at the end of a Full Moon phase; Full Moon phases heighten everything.

Mars is "activating" or "violently storming through," sweeping things clear.  This happens to be the special skill of the Mahavidya (Wisdom Goddess) Dhumavati.  She winnows things, sorts them.  She separates and closes out.  She releases what has served its purpose.  She shines what remains. 

Mars' activation of the Moon, Chiron, and the Black Moon means that the "darker" issues related to self-sabotage, pain, wounding, and shadow sides (fears) are being mentally, emotionally, and physically swept clean.

Mars' activation of the Moon, Chiron, and the Black Mon also means that the "lighter" issues related to healing, wisdom, truth, and rebirth are being mentally, emotionally, and physically polished to brightness.

Before the Moon leaves Pisces, the sign of water, today, Venus will retrograde back to the 29th degree of Leo, joining Jupiter at the Sabian symbol of "a mermaid emerges from the ocean ready for rebirth in human form."  Rebirth begins at 4:50 pm ET/7:50 pm UT and will crest (crown) tomorrow, Tuesday, August 4 at 5:30 pm ET/10:30 pm when Venus conjuncts Jupiter once again.

All of this energy is bringing forward the things that shine in the light.  With it, darkness seeks refuge behind cobwebs of the past, which provide little cover.  The truth of people, places, and things is revealed under these stellar dynamics.

What is seeking emergence from the oceans of our minds?  What wants to come into form?  What defies weathering?  What makes good sense?

To discover the answers, we don't fight the tide.  Today it is a good idea to let go of the need to control and let things go their course as much as possible because, like the mermaid, new forms are beginning to emerge.  We witness the beauty.

1- SATURN STATIONS DIRECT: Saturn stationed retrograde (or appeared to move backward in the sky) on March 14, 2015 at the degree of "an old owl up in a tree."  Saturn comes to a virtual  standstill this weekend and then begins to move forward.  It does so at the degree of "an Indian woman pleading with the chief for the lives of her children."  While Saturn was retrograde (March 14 until now), we became wiser about the ways in which we are dominated, restricted, and limited.  We saw the ways in which some of the structures or situations in our lives were unsatisfactory -- where growth and development has been limited or even absent.

Saturn will remain at the degree of the "Indian woman pleading" for the entire month.  On September 1, 2015 it will move to the next degree and begin discharging another energy.  Until then, we continue to gain deeper understanding of these themes and how they manifest in our lives.

Wise owls remember that when a planet stations retrograde or direct, the energetics can be intense.  But when Saturn stations direct, the energy lightens considerably.  Saturn clamps down hard and wants us to do the right thing when it is retrograde.  When it slingshots forward again, pressure is released and life becomes lighter.  We aim to facilitate this by light-ening up this weekend.

2- VENUS AND JUPITER BEGIN RE-CONJUNCTION: Venus and Jupiter made conjunction (or came to the same place in the sky) on July 1, 2015, but Venus is retrograde and has come back to meet up with Jupiter once again.  The energetic effects of the meet-up begin this weekend, as both planets begin disseminating the energy of 29 Scorpio and "a mermaid emerges from the ocean ready for rebirth."  The exact conjunction of Venus and Jupiter occurs Tuesday, August 4 at 5:30 pm ET/9:30 pm UT.  Until that time, the shape, form, and reality of things will undergo transformation to become MORE REAL and MORE IN ALIGNMENT with the values of LIFE.  Venus and Jupiter are trying to bring us back to life or re-shape our lives in a myriad of ways.  What is being reborn inside of you?  How is your understanding of things undergoing expansion?  What is your heart's desire?  These themes are heavily in effect right now.

3- THE MOON ENTERS PISCES FOR THE LAST TIME WHILE THE BLACK MOON IS IN VIRGO:  Hallelujah!  Those with the Sun or Black Moon in Virgo or Pisces experience the second to the last stage of rebirth before the Black Moon leaves Virgo later this month.  This is like the last stages of labor and delivery of a baby except it is a rebirthing of the self.  This is happening to some degree for everyone, not just the Virgos and Pisceans, as the Black Moon in Virgo has endeavored to heal us all of our perceptions and feelings of failure, vulnerability, trust, and capability.  These particular themes are strong this weekend. 

Shadow sides are already tempted out when the Moon is Full, but the added influence of the Black Moon dramatically amplifies this.  People tend toward projecting their own feelings and fears onto others.  Emotions run higher.  (Note for those with the Sun or Black Moon in Virgo or Pisces: The last stage of rebirth for the transit of the Black Moon through Virgo will occur August 15-17, when the Moon enters Virgo.  The Black Moon leaves Virgo on August 24 and light returns.)

The Moon is Full.  It's in Aquarius.  Aquarius is ruled by Uranus.  Uranus rules freedom.  Uranus is retrograde at the Eris Point.  The Eris Point rules rebirth. 

All of this equals one question today: How would you define freedom?

This is the main question for today, individually and as a collective.  The energetics of the planets support us in our attempts to free ourselves from the past and old beliefs, thoughts, and systems.

Energy to facilitate this comes today from the locations of the planets and the themes they are disseminating.  Here are the energetics of key planets today:

SUN: "glass blowers shape beautiful vases with their controlled breathing" (air, inner being brought outward, breathing life, mastery)

EARTH: "a flag is seen turning into an eagle" (the inner manifests in the outer, true power, transforming, carrying banners)

VENUS: "an unsealed letter" (spreading messages, advantages for everyone, communications of trust, sharing feelings) - note also that Venus is retrograde and moves from Virgo back into Leo at 11:28 am ET/3:28 pm UT

MARS: "a leader of men wrapped in an invisible mantle of power" (leadership, accepting responsibility, descent of spiritual protection, mastery, understanding and accepting consequences)

MERCURY: "a volunteer church choir makes a social event of rehearsal" (like-minded people electromagnetically joining together, shared voice, unity, speaking truth, liveliness, joy, social causes, extending self)

JUPITER: "many little birds on the limb of a large tree" (opening of the field of possibilities/options/potentials, many voices, secure foundations, choices)

URANUS: "a boxer entering the ring" (unity, transcendence, taking a stand, speaking out, blazing a trail, paths, Oneness)

These symbols paint many pictures that help us gain wisdom today.  The air is electrically-charged and the Sun's wind is strong.  This is all about FREEDOM, CHANGE, AND ALIGNMENT.  The stellar dynamics are revealing this to each of us about our lives and about our world - which are symbiotic or mutually-dependent.  How would you define freedom, and what would that look like in our lives and the world?

For months I've been talking about the changes that Uranus' retrograde from July 26 - December 26, 2015 would evoke because it was retrograding at the Eris Point- 21 Aries and a degree of unlimited power for birthing and rebirthing.  Uranus retrograde at the Eris Point is one answer to the question of freedom's definition.

Uranus retrograde also evokes journeys, relocations, and treks.  Many wise owls are undertaking this is a variety of ways.  But today, a project of very special wise owls undertaking a trek for truth begins again with a trek across the country.  Unbeknownst to them, the energies of the Sabian symbols put wind in the sails of such an undertaking.  Over the next few months of Uranus' retrograde, I will feature the outstanding journeys of some of our parliament (group) of wise owls, including wise owl Pam who answered the call of her heart and will be trekking via cargo ship from the US to Fiji to assist organic farmers upstarting there.

In a breath of luminescence, chance comes to us today.  What will we make of it?

Chances are, the answer to that question depends on what we truly value -- what we truly love.

There is an energetic wave of love, a harmonic of the Sacred Masculine, that plays today to move darkness out of shadows and into light.  This is divine -- from a higher level. 

Many things will derive from this:

• Luck changes. 
• Pearls of wisdom and experience form from sore spots when our eyes were filled with sand. 
• Actors on the stage in the dark play on humanity find themselves drawn off script, as if lured away by the pipes/flutes of a mythical faun. 
• Something will light up or be revealed to each of us or to all of us.
• The shape of certain situations begins to change rapidly.
• The ability to create something from a place that seemed devoid of creativity becomes potent.
• A transition away from losses, rejections, sacrifices, failures, and emptiness occurs, leading our attention toward new opportunities
• Feelings of mental, physical, and emotional equilibrium start to emerge, bringing expanded understanding and sharper clarity of why things are the way they are or why things were they way they were

Today, Jupiter spends its last day at 27 Leo and "daybreak - the luminescence of dawn in the eastern sky."  With this, comes a chance.  Let's take it.

Both Venus and Uranus turn around this weekend, ushering in a time historic revelation, realignment, and renaissance.  Venus stationed retrograde Saturday morning around 5:30 am ET/9:30 am UT; Uranus will station retrograde Sunday at 6:38 am ET/10:38 am UT.

In astrology, when a planet "stations retrograde" it appears to move backward in the sky.  During the time the planet is retrograde, things are refined, reassessed, and reworked.  The nature of the things that are refined is related to the nature of the planet and the frequency or energetic that the planet is disseminating.  The Sabian symbols of the degrees of the zodiac  give us this information.

Venus is retrograding at the degree of "in a portrait, the best of a man's features and traits are idealized."  While Venus is retrograde, it will pull back the veil or cover or mask that has been hiding illusions about people, places, and plans. Venus retrograde often brings back people or situations from our past.  There is great wisdom that results from Venus' retrograde.  We find out what we truly value.  This makes for beautiful realignment in the world.  Venus will station direct or turn forward once again on September 6, 2015.

Uranus is stationing retrograde at the degree of "a boxer entering the ring," which is the native energetic of the planet Eris since this is the degree where Eris was discovered.  Uranus brings revolution and Eris brings rebirth.  The highest octave of this energetic is unity -- becoming the ring, not being a boxer.  Uranus will be retrograde through December 26, 2015, and will bring people around the world together in new ways.  We focus on coming together not coming apart.  The power of divide and conquer tactics of the past will suffer serious degradation.  This means that the things that keep us separate from each other as a collective and in individual relationship are rendered less powerful.

I've been discussing the monumental nature of the times.  Much is being foreshadowed this weekend.  We are vigilant to the potential for hijinks.  Things may develop very suddenly and shockingly, but whatever is happening is designed to bring things in line with their proper course.  Silver linings become visible at some point.  Major malfunctions are rectified, so if the Black Moon's transit of Virgo has shown you parts of yourself that you wish to work on, the retrogrades of Venus and Uranus offer dynamics to change them.  We have help to do things differently and better so that life can be happier.

The Sun is beginning to come back to life right now, taking up its heights in Leo.  We await its wisdom while we take up the mission of our own heights and ideals, primary among them to restore heaven on earth.  This weekend, as the planets turn, we turn toward life and the love and value of life.  We remember.
