Venus stations direct Sunday around 4:30 am ET/8:30 am UT.  Venus stationed retrograde at 01 Virgo on July 25 at the Sabian symbol of "in a portrait, the best of a man's features and traits are idealized."  During its retrograde, Venus wanted us to see things clearly.  

Venus retrograde has asked us to see what we truly value.  What has been over-idealized or over-idolized?  Venus has wanted us to see reality, not illusion or inflated representation.  It wants us to see truth. 

When Venus is retrograde, it puts stress on relationships so that they can come to a higher level.

Today, the final opportunity for this comes like a "pageant moving along a street packed with people," the Sabian symbol for 15 Leo and the degree where Venus stations direct.  The spectacle of what we've seen about ourselves and others, and how we define true love makes it unmistakable.  If we are looking (standing on the street watching), we will gain the wisdom that Venus has intended.

Venus stationing direct is the big story this weekend, but other themes are also in play:

TRAPS:  Is something or someone trying to outfox us?  Images that are facades or disguises are more easily presented.  It is also easy to fall into the trap of feeling unworthy or undeserving of goodness.  Potential for "false flag" operations is higher this weekend. 

HISTORY: Where do your roots run?  Do they run deep?  To what are you committed?  No matter what our family history or situation, we are all rooted deeply with the Earth, Gaia Sophia.  Memories and traditions come back to us to reconnect us with who we truly are.  Situations may develop where we feel "uprooted" or unconnected with our grander self and a grander power.  We will not be misdirected.

RE-EXAMINATION:  This weekend, Mercury, the Messenger, is disseminating the energy of "a professor peering over his glasses at his students" and "miners emerging from a coalmine."  Situations develop to give us a different and deeper lens of perception.  This is the perfect time for this because we are now in the Third Quarter Moon phase, the time of the lunar cycle where we re-assess and revise.  This lunar cycle, Spirit has sought to deliver us a message - an important one, and Third Quarter is the last attempt at delivery.  It's time to come out of the dark.

DELICACY:  A long time ago, my grandmother wrote a poem entitled "Skim Lightly."  The first line goes:

Skim lightly o'er the fires of life

We want to skim lightly this weekend.  We want to take delicate care of what we love and weave appreciation throughout it.

Today's energy has high potential to take us through "dangerous" waters of the mind - mindsets that can take us off course and into despair.  Chaos and disequilibrium make for rough rapids, but wise owls ban together to hold the line and maintain inner equilibrium.

The Sun is discharging the energetic of "a powerful statesman overcomes a state of political hysteria."  Mercury is discharging the energy of "a canoe approaching safety through dangerous waters."  This can cause things in our individual lives and the world at large to get out of hand and carried too far. 

Paradoxically, feelings of inner hysteria (feelings of anxiety, fear, concern, worry, sadness, hopelessness) are happening to fortify our will - our attitude, character, power, resolve, conviction, volition, desire, courage, determination, and mettle.

The world is in flux right now, and we are, too, but both Sabian symbols show positive outcomes.  The statesman overcomes and the canoe approaches safety.

As Venus prepares to station direct (or appears to move forward in the sky again) tomorrow, it is helping us align with balance, sanity, peace, love, freedom, and destiny.  Venus has been retrograde since July 25, and during this time the values we hold have been undergoing transformation.  Ideals, as well as illusions, have been examined.  We have different ideas about what it means to be happy.

Things that we thought were "ideal" may now seem much less so.

Alchemy is in play to transform people, places, and things from one state of being to another.  New combinations, elements, or "ingredients" are mixed together now to refresh what is truly of value to us.

Holding the line (maintaining a strong center and inner equilibrium) amidst chaos is an act of love for the fellowship of humanity.  In Gnostic terms, we are couched within the mind of the aeon Gaia Sophia (Wisdom) and within the arms of the aeon Thelete (Will).  We unite our wisdom with our will.  When we do, we see that a grand drama is unfolding, and we take up our part.  We already know it will work out well.  The Sabian symbols tell us that we overcome and we are safe. 

Let's maintain a firm connection with the planet and step back from the fear that is pushed today.  Wise owls hold the line.

EXPOSURE:  Today, what was concealed is revealed.  Truth, especially true feelings, true intentions, and true motivations, are exposed.  This could come about in dramatic shows or displays so that we get the message.  So, once again, anything that "stands out" or "shows out" is happening to see something important.

HEARING AND OVERHEARING: In addition to what we see today, what we hear is also very important.  Background noise, conversations, synchronicities, correspondences, and anything that is overheard is trying to be heard.  In general, people want to be heard today.  Weaving through this, forming an underpinning, is the spirit of unity that is bringing like-minded people, ideas, and projects together.  True coalitions are forming.

DESTINY:  Early today, the Black Moon moved to the 2nd degree of Libra, beginning to discharge the energy of "the light of the sixth race transmuted to the seventh" through September 11.  Mercury was at this degree last Friday (August 28), so things that occurred on that day may recur in some way or be resolved in some way.

But the reason for the "destiny" heading is because the North Node (destiny) is conjunct the Black Moon.  This dynamic changes the "order" of things.  New orders are implemented.  This is an unprecedented opportunity for complete overhaul and reform that is a rare occurrence.  The Black Moon and the North Node make a conjunction (meet up at the same place in the sky) for only week every nine years.  This dynamic leads us into the next New Moon, which is going to be a pivotal month.

If there is something you want to overhaul, reform, transmute, or rise above in your life, now is a good time for that because the energetics strongly support it.

Keep in mind that this energetic is about a new, more spiritually-aligned advancement of things, not a return to a "lower" level.   Attempts to the contrary will not be successful.

TESTS:  Situations may arise where we feel like we are being tested or judged by others, possibly people to whom we have given away our power.  Is division being pushed through manipulation and lies?  Remember that truth is being exposed today.

REPETITION:  Helping to "transmute the sixth race to the seventh," today Jupiter moves to the sixth degree of Virgo: "a merry-go-round."  This is in effect until September 6th, which is also the day Venus stations direct (appears to move forward in the sky).  Between now and September 6, issues within romantic relationships (and blasts from the past) come up again to move to a different level or status.  We do not need to do the same thing or repeat mistakes over and over again.  We can do it differently.  We are powerful, and all of the energy supports growth now.

We are watching and listening today.  Pay attention to things happening in threes or the number three.  This month's "carrier pigeon" may be trying to get your attention this way to help us get the message.

We move into the Disseminating phase of the Moon today, the time when interpersonal communications are at a high for the month, enabling us to provide and receive feedback and information that is important to our development and to the fullest expression of who we are. Information rains down from the sky.

Today the Sun is located at the degree of "two heads looking out and beyond the shadows."
We are wise to step outside of ourselves and our own perceptions and look at things from other perspectives -- from another's point of view or from the other side's point of view.  We look at things a different way.

A primary result of looking at both sides of something is RE-EVALUATION.  "Value" is the key part of the word.  When we change our perception, we change our mind, and this changes our "value system."  What we deem as worthy or treasurable comes to a new level. 

Also, Venus' retrograde through September 6 is taking our views of the past into wider arenas precisely for the same purpose of overhauling what we value.  Venus' light wants us to see reality, and, continuing from yesterday, it will make things "stand out" in order for us to recognize them.  Things may "come apart" or deconstruct into smaller parts in order for us to take in or "process" the wisdom and understand.

Today's energetics naturally involve a level of duality or division with situations so that we can take in a bigger view, but we won't let that divide and conquer us.  The process of seeing other sides or ways or possibilities actually unifies and integrates. 

If things appear to be coming apart, it is more likely that they are being re-evaluated.

One of my favorite books as a youngster was Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach.  A mishap (or what was perceived as a mishap) occurs when a magic potion meant to bring happiness and great adventures is accidentally spilled onto a peach.  The magic is so powerful that it delivers happiness and great adventures to James (and the creatures inhabiting the peach when it was transformed) even through the mishap.  It still happened; it just didn't happen the way James envisioned (or wanted) it to happen.

When we look at things a different way, we see that there is more going on than meets the eye.  We engage the magic.  This is our mission to fulfill today.

Multiple things are happening in the sky today to change the energetics of the way life feels and what we experience:

SUN OPPOSES NEPTUNE/EARTH CONJUNCTS NEPTUNE: This only happens one day each year.  This year, a flood of emotions and clarity brings forward plans for the future.  Lines are drawn; connections are made.  Our decisions and actions are always motivated by what we value, but today it clearly stands out and is easy to see.  In turn, what others value is also evident.  Things may develop quite swiftly and may require additional attention or quick judgment.  The Earth and Neptune are conjunct (in the same place in the sky) and co-disseminating the energy of 9 Pisces - "the race begins; intent on outdistancing his rivals, a jockey spurs his horse to great speed." 

What are you trying to win?  Wisdom is revealed within this question today, uncloaking a greater insight that may have been nebulous.  How we answer the question, especially in context of relationships, plays out with plans for the future.

 MARS CONJUNCTS VENUS at 01:02 am ET/5:02 am UT tonight, but builds all day, adding the emphasis on relationships mentioned above.  The masculine and feminine energies unite at 15 Leo and "a pageant moving along a street packed with people."  Things are outstanding in that they "stand out" to us - perhaps rather dramatically.  What is being highlighted or paraded before you?  It's a message, for sure, continuing the dynamic this month of messages and information being delivered to us from "on high."

THE MOON ENTERS ARIES FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE THE BLACK MOON ENTERED LIBRA, making today the first "Black Moon Day" for the Black Moon's transit of Libra.  Long time readers know that Black Moon Days have a way of bringing out everyone's shadow side -- fears and trapped power.  People project their own feelings about themselves onto others.  Harsh self-judgment, feelings of worthlessness, and feelings of being undeserving (as if there is such a thing) can crop up.  This dynamic asks us to see our own value and to paint the painting of our lives as a unique being.  All of the emotions that flood in today contribute to the various grades and shades of our personal painting.

URANUS MOVES TO 20 ARIES, off of the Eris Point and the corresponding Sabian symbol of "a boxer entering the ring."  Uranus, Planet of Changes, which is retrograde and revising the state of everything, now begins to disseminate the energy of "a young girl feeding birds in winter."  Situations can go "cold" in order for something else to emerge or be seen -- something that leads to the highest and best for all involved.  Energy that was previously fed into cold or lifeless situations will no longer be able to be sustained.  This is a major shift.

SATURN MOVES TO THE LAST DEGREE OF SCORPIO, beginning to disseminate the energy of "children in Halloween costumes indulging in various pranks."  Since it's Saturn, an extra potential for tricks and hijinks exists until September 18.  And since it is also a "Black Moon day," tricks can come from behind the shadows today and tomorrow.  Don't be fooled or taken into an abyss of hopelessness and self-criticism.  That's a trick.

Today we are wise to pay attention to what stands out -- what the divine feminine and divine masculine want us to see and understand.  We are painting the picture of the future today, but we just may find that heaven on earth exists right here, right now.

The full light of the Full Moon begins today, along with the blazing light of the element of fire.  This Full Moon is the Fire Moon.

Not only is this the Full Moon of the Leo cycle, ruled by the Sun itself and ruler of the element fire, but the Sabian symbols this weekend are all about illumination.  The symbols involved with the locations of the planets include the illumination of shafts of light, brilliant sunlight after a storm, the dawning of a new day (beginning),  and the enlightenment of a campfire.

For all of the blessings, gifts, and insight that can come from a "Fire Moon," full light can blind and can sting.  We are aware that this accompanies the engagement of wisdom, and stay the course until our eyes adjust.

"Adjustment" is a key word this weekend because there is great potential for dramatic life changes.  If you are experiencing this, the changes are coming from a very deep place inside.  New life is trying to emerge from the corners of what has been shadowed.  Dive into the great void and let it heal you.  Immersion in the void is not surrendering to circumstance or emotion; it is a brave journey to be washed clean.  It isn't the end; it is the beginning.

All month long we are receiving divine messages and guidance, but this amps up with the Full Moon and also with Mars at the degree "cherub-like, a human soul whispers, seeking to manifest."  Spirit descends.  We can perceive it more easily when we realize that it is invisible but appears within the subtleties and synchronicities of the very visible natural world.  What message seeks to find you?

As we gaze at the Fire Moon, let's also turn to the Sun.  The Full Moon would not be possible without the Sun.  If you are lucky enough to have a campfire to watch this weekend, take advantage.  If not, candlelight will do just fine.  What flickers?

This lunar month's theme of delivering messages and information comes to us today courtesy of the following energetics:

SUN: "a merry-go-round" - When this energetic is discharged, we often find ourselves saying "Here it goes again."  Patterns repeat.  We often feel like we are making the same mistakes or going down a road we have been down before.  But each time we return to a circumstance that repeats, we do so from a different perspective.  We learn more each time.  We can get off the merry-go-round any time we choose.  We have the power to do things a different way.

EARTH: "a parade of army officers in full dress" - What we value (what is important to us) is demonstrated by our duty, honor, and commitment to it.  What we value clearly shows out today, especially within romantic relationships.  Since Venus is retrograde (and shaking up relationships) and Venus and Mars are making conjunction (meeting up) next week, developments within relationships could be rather dramatic -- on parade.

VENUS: "brilliant sunshine just after a storm" - This energetic clears away obstacles and releases things that have been pent up.  Resolutions occur, so this can moderate and bring renewal to issues that the above energies deliver.

MERCURY: "the light of the sixth race transmuted to the seventh" - We come to a higher level of understanding with things and see what needs to be implemented.  Within this energetic, we see the best elements of things and take those with us into the future.  The elements or parts of things that do not serve the highest and best of all involved can remain behind.

MARS: "an old sea captain rocking on the porch of his cottage" - This energetic always brings the need for quiet contemplation and reflection.  We gain a wide view of the status of people, places, and things in our lives and in the world.  Sitting with something before taking action is advised when this energetic is in play.  This is one of my favorite symbols because the sea captain has acquired much wisdom in his life sailing the high seas (or the south seas, as in the Sabian symbol for last lunar month - "a woman and two men castaways on a small island in the south seas"...).  He is rocking on his porch -- his haven -- in a Zen state, watching the world go about its way and observing.  It is much like the wise owl up in a tree energetic.

JUPITER: "black and white children playing happily" - Coming together is the nature of this energetic.  The children are playing happily, not just playing.  If they were just playing, we could expect, as some point, that they might start to fight.  But the symbol says "happily" so division (especially via racism and perceived differences) is a much harder objective.  Jupiter is asking us what makes us happy.  And Venus is asking us if we value it.

Something for everyone today.  Like Mercury, Deliverer of Messages, and his mission of transmuting light today, we take what we can from the message.

Catalysts for Change:  hung up on perfection, giving up the present and future for the past, giving up, undervaluing people/places/things, confusion, distorted perceptions, fighting the clock, neglect of the body, divide and conquer

As a week of intensive astrological energetics continues, today we have the conjunction of Mercury and the Black Moon.  When these two planets come together, it is very important that we watch what comes out of our mouths.  It is very easy to wound with words.  Most of the time these are things that need to be said, but it is best to consider how and where that would be best.

In fact, the Sabian symbol for the degree of the conjunction of Mercury and the Black Moon at 01 Libra is "a butterfly persevered and made perfect with a dart through it."  This energy is about moments frozen in time, so it reminds us to stop and think before reacting.  If there is something important you want to say to someone or if some situation or aspect of your life is under dramatic transformation, "freeze" the situation and think about all of the extensions or outcomes that could result and then plan accordingly.

Today's energy shreds conceptions of time and space into ribbons that flow back and forth and in all directions.  This means that the past may come up or come back in some way.  Memories weave through, asking us to gain a message of wisdom.  Thoughts wander.

With this, the Sun is discharging the energy of "a man becoming aware of nature spirits (elementals) and normally unseen spiritual energies."  So we see or understand what has been invisible or shadowed to us.  The Mercury-Black Moon dynamic today reveals how fear has kept us in denial of or unenlightened about something - probably something related to how well we value ourselves.  The wisdom of nature teaches us something today.

Beginning around 7:00 pm ET/11 pm UT and continuing until midnight ET/4:00 am UT, the Moon will oppose Mars.  This will "fuel" whatever is happening in relationships as Venus continues its retrograde.  Mars is in Leo, so this is "double fire."  Fire, as with all of the elements, can give life to something or take life away.  We are wise to remember this as we communicate with others today.

Today the "month of messages" is in full effect.  Pay attention to subtleties and things that flicker in the corner of your eye.  Something heretofore unseen just may reveal itself.

The Moon has moved to the Gibbous phase (the phase before the Full Moon) and the energetics switch from "big action" happening with things to "big magic" happening with things.

Each of the phases is active or receptive.  The New Moon is when we set intentions and make wishes on stars.  It's active -- masculine -- energy.  The next phase, Crescent, is receptive -- feminine energy.  As the phases of the Moon change, the dance between being active or receptive flows back and forth.

Gibbous Moon phase is a receptive/feminine phase.  The days of the Gibbous Moon phase are the most magical of the lunar month.  Between today and the Full Moon on Saturday, the potential for "paranormally" wonderful things to happen is rather limitless.  The Goddess fills the air with a mist of love and unity.  It's big medicine.  It brings heightened insight, understanding, and awareness to help process the shift that is occurring.  It's actual "medicine" --  the way an aeon would administer it.

Over the next few days, the "medicine" will directly alter the course of events that happen in our lives and in our world.

Within that span of time, today at 6:00 pm ET/10:00 pm UT the Sun and Jupiter will make conjunction (come to the same place in the sky).  The Sun empowers and Jupiter expands, so all things can go to unlimited proportions (feelings, interactions, beliefs, conversations, arguments, actions, responses, reactions, etc.). 

But, the conjunction is at 03 Virgo 21 and the Sabian symbol of "black and white children playing happily together," so things that have seemed separate or different easily come together based on their true nature. 

In a way, we are all children dreaming a dream together, playing on the playground.  The Wisdom Goddess Sophia loves to play and she loves children.  She is a teacher, after all!  Much fear is being heavily loaded into the collective now.  Dramatic events are beginning to ensue.  A wave of peace and sharing is falling over top of all of it.  It softens the energy and we can easily connect with it by (always) going outside and paying attention to nature, but also by opening to receiving something that will help us.  The carrier pigeon of this lunar month's Sabian symbol seeks to fulfill its mission to bring us what we need.

Opening to receiving a message is as easy as taking a deep breath and a deep exhale, clearing space in our heart area for whatever is needed to enter.

A series of significant astrological aspects this week continues today with the Black Moon's entry into Libra, where it will transit until May 16, 2016.  The Black Moon in Libra wants us to see what is truly of value so that balance can be restored.  It involves inclusion and loving things as a whole, not separating out the parts we don't like and pretending they don't exist. 

The Black Moon in Libra strives for perfection, the "ideal," and excellence, and the energy is highly judgmental of self and others.  Since today is the first day of the Black Moon in Libra, a strong wave of judgment enters.  Inner and outer "rebellions" ensue.  Previous parameters, boundaries, rules, ideas, and standards are breached in order to reach better ways.

These are overall themes that will weave through the collective until mid-May, but today the themes may be pronounced since today is the switch from the Black Moon in Virgo into the Black Moon in Libra.  Thoughts and feelings about loneliness and isolation may come into view to reveal something.

Additionally, Venus is retrograde or appearing to move backward in the sky until September 6, which is always an overhaul of what we value (what is important to us).  Venus does not retrograde that often, but when it does, relationships undergo deep transformation.  This happens in our individual lives as well as within the collective of humanity as a whole.  (Those particularly affected by this are those born between February 19-26 and August 23-30.)  So we have the Two Sisters -- the Black Moon and Venus, the dark sister and the light sister -- essentially working together through the first week in September to bring the ultimate level of revelation of what is truly of value.

Wise owls know that what is of value is freedom, truth, and love.  As we watch the beginning stages of a nine-month period of inner and outer rebellion against what is out of balance, we remember that a rectification or realignment is occurring.  This is a dynamic that is aligned with the value and love of life, not stagnation and disintegration.  What appeared as the ideals of the material world begin are beginning to fall away.  This is nothing to fear with this because it all leads to a restoration of true values.

How do the themes of what we value play out in our lives today?  What crosses your mind is worth noting because things could be quite clear.

The very active Sun has moved into Virgo and today is discharging the energy associated with the Sabian symbol of "a large white cross dominating the landscape stands alone on top of a high hill."  Today we are following a path and on the lookout for signs, information, messages from "on high" that relate especially to:

• SUFFERING and how it is an indication of something that is out of balance. 
• SACRIFICE and the ways it is contrary to the fullest expression of who we are.
• GIVING AWAY POWER to others and how this causes emotional distress and suppression of the spirit.
• INSECURITY and how feeling threatened or unsafe causes missed opportunities.
• WOUNDING and what we learn as we heal the wounds.

These are heavy themes, but this is what comes when the Sun moves into the first degrees of Virgo.  This year, Jupiter has entered Virgo at the same time, expanding the daily dynamics through Wednesday when the Sun and Jupiter meet up at the same place in the sky. 

The planet Chiron is a ruler the sign of Virgo and the Sun is activating (by trine - 120 degrees) the Chiron Point or the degree in the sky where Chiron was located when it was discovered.  When Chiron energy is strongly present, we can wound ourselves with arrows and daggers of self-sabotage, self-sacrifice, perceived failures, distrust, sadness, neediness, and frustration.  Our words can be particularly wounding right now -- to ourselves and others -- so we want to be mindful.

But when Chiron energy is strongly present, it also brings the highest levels of healing and wisdom.  The stellar influence of Chiron enables us to see and bring many different elements of situations together in new/different ways.  As such, Chiron rules alchemy, helping us transform (our minds) from one way, attitude, or outlook to another.  It heals all of the things listed above and will be in full force, as mentioned, through Wednesday.

Virgo is indeed the main story today, and about thirty minutes after midnight Eastern time tonight, the Black Moon will leave Virgo and enter Libra.  The Black Moon has been in Virgo since November 26, 2014.  Fears and issues related to where we think we've failed, how vulnerable and "real" we can be with others, levels of trust, and notions of perceived abandonment by Spirit have been squarely in our faces.  The Black Moon now brings rebirth with these things.  (Those with the Sun or Black Moon in Virgo or Pisces please join me in celebration!)

The Sun released a coronal mass ejection from a C3-class solar flare today at 1:27 am ET/5:27 am UT.  Since it has been a while since we've had a CME, new readers (wise owls) see that we look at the position of the Moon at the time of the CME to understand the nature of the energy that was amplified (via the electric universe) with the blast.

The Moon was located at 28 Libra 02 and the Sabian symbol for 29 Libra: "mankind's vast enduring effort to reach for knowledge transferable from generation to generation -- knowledge."  This symbol is about outreach, awareness, and the continuation of heritage. We come together or unify when we have knowledge and understanding.   

Our experiences turn knowledge into wisdom.  The wise take on the adventure of life to experience, learn, and share things.  Our experiences turn knowledge into wisdom.  This is why someone who is very young but has experienced a lot is often wiser than their years.  Age is relative in all things, but especially with wisdom.  The wisdom of the ancient Sabian symbols tells us that the Sun wishes us to know that we are durable and ever-lasting, and that super-human feats of consciousness are not only possible, but inherited.

Interestingly, both Venus and Saturn are at locations of Sabian symbols for Native Americans.  Venus (retrograde) is at 20 Leo and the energy of "American Indians perform a ritual to the Sun."  Saturn is at 29 Scorpio and "an Indian woman pleading with the chief for the lives of her children."  Knowledge of these energetics and wisdom of experience with them tells us that to maintain a good grounded center, we return to the natural or basic elements of situations.  

The combination of these specific symbols with these specific planets would also reveal any place in our lives where we have given or are giving away our power, especially in relationships.  Power and control dynamics show up with this dynamic.  Things can go very deeply with this (very dark even) because the Moon is in Scorpio and building toward a square with Mars.  Exact square of the Moon and Mars occurs around 9:00 pm ET/01:00 am UT.

The Moon rules our emotions and Mars initiates, ignites, and inflames things.  The Moon will be at 7 Scorpio and the energy of the Sabian symbol "deep sea divers;" Mars will be at 7 Leo and "the Moon shining across the lake."  Translation: reflections of the unconscious emerge.  This is an energy where, on the lower octave, people act out their emotions and moods and create drama.  On the higher octave, people are mesmerized by the beauty and reflection of nature, which reveals knowledge.

A bigger wave is developing, however, and something big is coming from it.  Today and tomorrow the Sun is moving into a square (90 degrees away) with Saturn.  At the time of the square, the Sun will be discharging the energy of 29 Leo and "a mermaid emerges from the ocean ready for rebirth in human form."  Remember that Saturn is at "an Indian woman pleading with the chief for the lives of her children."  Rebirth -- renaissance -- is empowered as old power and control systems (and limiting thoughts and beliefs) are pulverized.  Exact square of the Sun and Saturn occurs Friday, August 21 at 7:20 pm ET/11:20 pm UT but will build until then.

As the Sun discharges the energy of the Sabian symbol "daybreak: the luminescence of dawn in the eastern sky" today, we gradually start to have realizations, see opportunities, and enter realms of new possibilities.

The Moon will oppose Uranus (which is still located at the Eris Point - 21 Aries) at 10:22 am ET/2:22 pm ET.  To some degree, unexpected things pop up -- things we perhaps did not foresee.  Like the dawn, the light is breaking through.

Stark truth is revealed when light begins to break through.  Venus is retrograde and will be in a trine configuration with Uranus/Eris Point, which means it will amplify, pinpoint, and facilitate what we are being asked by Venus' retrograde, but it will do it in ways that that are deep, lasting, and maybe a little surprising (even shocking).

Venus' retrograde is trying  to evolve or re-align our values.  Venus' retrograde is asking us:

WHAT IS YOUR belief, attitude, character, code, conduct, conscience, ethic, conception, conviction, appraisal, assessment, logic, outlook, idea, reason, rationale, system, standard, sense of duty, sense of honor, truth, view, and wisdom?

WHAT DO YOU adore, treasure, appreciate, cherish, extol, revere, honor, respect, prize, and commend?

These are our ideals of greatness, the main energetic of renaissance, behind the scenes this solar-lunar year.

Today, the music of the spheres (which is everything from the energies of the planets to the mind of God) wants to take us out of an energetic of "night" or "dark night" toward something lighter and brighter.  Light begins to shine on any place where we have lingering feelings of fear, doubt, uncertainty, and loss.

Today's energy is definitely a gradual or progressive thing.  Things build or become clearer as the day grows.  All kinds of things are beginning and being reborn in a new way.

"The constellations of stars in the sky" reveal much today:

REASSURANCE, RELIEF, OR RELEASE: The energies today are very "air-focused" which means breathing air, life, and room into situations.  Heaviness is trying to be lifted from our hearts.  To facilitate this, we can "look up" -- meaning we can turn to a higher power.  (Keep an eye on the skies - especially for birds, as this month the bird tribes are delivering messages.  Different birds have different messages.  Ted Andrews' books and works are recommended.)

TESTING:  Today brings a dynamic that can lead us to test or gauge people, places, and things.  We are trying to "get a read" on where things stand.  Problems are trying to be solved.  The problem is, trying to solve the problem by setting up situations where someone's reaction provides some kind of judgment is actually a manipulation -- a set up.  Thus, it is not an accurate assessment of anything of real.  Direct communication is best for assessment.

PATTERNS:  Since this month, the universe is trying to help us "get the message" (about whatever is important to our course in life), we want to be vigilant to patterns.  If we are receptive or present or, better yet, immersed in the field of consciousness around us (paying attention), we see when things repeat.  An "angel" may be trying to get you to notice something.

The Sun is located at the degree of "after a heavy storm, a rainbow."  Let's engage the living dream today and expand our perception as far as the light spectrum can take us.

The quiet Sun and a misty cloud covering the Moon give our psyches an opportunity for pause.  We want to take the opportunity because the energy will distort all kinds of things today.  When we pause to consider, we open a path of communication with Wisdom.

Spirit, higher self, etc. delivers information, guidance, and direction to us on this open path.  This helps us see through the distortions.  We see that anything that is distorting is happening so that we recognize it.  Things go out-of-bounds or are dramatically highlighted with flashing neon lights so that we will see them.  If we are deeply in darkness or denial, the lights are much brighter -- even blinding.  We are supposed to see and understand things about ourselves, our relationships, our world, and our planet right now.

Mercury is discharging the energy of "a volcanic eruption."  Mercury rules communication, travel, messages, information, deliveries, speech, and speed.  Things want to and often do burst out of people's mouths -- things that they have been building up under the surface for some time.  White-hot lava pools of anger can seethe.  Pent-up feelings seek release.  Something inside wants recognition and rectification.

To see and understand things at a deeper level and also to appropriately handle our own and other's feelings, today we leave room to "change our minds" -- meaning look at something a different way.  Room for a change in attitude will alleviate a lot of frustration today.  When we give pause, we can change our thinking.  We can alter the field of experience by looking beyond the distortion - the eruption - and see something more.  What is it really about?  The anger or eruption or feelings are symptomatic of something else.

We don't have to erupt.  We are not at the mercy of anything, especially enemies of the mind.  We can release, and we can do it honorably and with respect for everyone, including ourselves.

The Moon will conjunct the Black Moon in Virgo today for the last time for about the next nine years.  The Sabian symbol for the conjunction, which builds until 2:40 pm ET/6:40 pm UT today, is "having an urgent task to complete, a man doesn't look to any distractions."  We might substitute distortions for distractions.  This energy is about staying true to our path, staying true to ourselves, staying true to our mission.  If something is out of balance with that, it will show up today for us to see.  The past, especially the parts of the past that we've seen as failure, is falling to ash as the Black Moon leaves Virgo.  We remember that the phoenix rises from ashes.

So as the truth about all kinds of things enlightens us today, we will pace ourselves to enable time for pause and time to see the guideposts that are along the way.  We understand that anger and frustration are signs that something needs to change.  We open the path and see beyond the distortions.

The fires of the New Moon in Leo entered yesterday and it is already shaping up to be wild:

1- DORMANT VOLCANO COTOPAXI IN ECUADOR ERUPTS: How interesting that on the eve of the Dormition of The Mother (which remains posted below), a DORMANT or sleeping volcano erupts!  Cotopaxi is a massive volcano with a unique equatorial glacier.  Cotopaxi is a Queche Maya amalgamation of words meaning "Shy Lady" and sometimes "The Neck of the Moon." 

It would seem Mother Earth reminds us (and more to the point, reminds those that seek her destruction) that she is not asleep nor is she weak.  The lunar month's energy of receiving messages, direction, and guidance is received loud and clear.

2- A STRONG TO EXTREME GEOMAGNETIC STORM IS IN EFFECT:  The K- index has jumped to 7+ (G3+), which is massive.  There is a gaping coronal hole on the Sun, but no sunspot activity to speak of.  But there's something special happening with the Sun as...

3- VENUS MAKES INFERIOR CONJUNCTION WITH THE SUN:  Venus, which is retrograde, will come directly between the Earth and the Sun on Saturday, exact conjunction or alignment is 3:21 pm ET/7:21 pm UT.  The conjunction is at 23 Leo and the Sabian symbol of "a bareback rider in a circus displays her dangerous skill."  Energy to masterfully defy the odds - defy the status quo or usual old way bursts onto the scene.  Courage abounds.  This contributes significantly to renaissance.

The conjunction of Venus and the Sun is only one degree off from the conjunction of Venus and Jupiter on June 30/July 1, so the situations, circumstances, and events happening then are coming to another level or status now.

4- THE BLACK MOON MOVES TO THE LAST DEGREE OF VIRGO AND THE MOON HAS MOVED INTO VIRGO:  This makes for the last "Black Moon Days" or days when the fear shadows of personal "failures", vulnerability, distrust, and incapability are in full focus.  This won't happen again for 9 years, and I daresay that there will never be another transit of the Black Moon like the transit of the Black Moon as the November 26, 2014 - August 24, 2015 transit of the Black Moon through Virgo (more info in the Special Message for Virgos and Pisces on the homepage of oraclereport). 

The Moon will remain in Virgo, and thus complete the last stage of rebirth for those with the Sun or Black Moon in Virgo or Pisces, until Monday, August 17 at 4:23 pm ET/8:23 pm UT.  In general, it is a time when people tend to project their own fears and feelings onto others.

The last degree of Virgo is the Sabian symbol of "having an urgent task to complete, a man doesn't look to any distractions."  Help to stay on the true course if offered by...

5- JUPITER MOVING TO THE SECOND DEGREE OF VIRGO: And the answer to how to stay on true course comes from the Sabian symbol of "a large white cross dominating the landscape stands alone on top of a high hill."  Stay true to course by staying true to a higher spiritual power.  This is where we place our energy - not on fear.

True Alignments: good tidings and well wishes, enhanced communications, prizes, compassion, comforting, giving oneself fully to a situation, breaking through barriers, consideration of consequences, achievements

Catalysts for Change: spreading lies, neglecting body by being "out of body," inability to commut, trying to control the elements of nature, messages that promote fear, loss of balance in life, misunderstandings, resisting new directions and courses

Today the energy shifts with the New Moon, as last month's "castaways" now receive words of guidance, direction, and purpose - how divine.  This lunar month we begin to understand and integrate all that start happening last month.  It will actually take two lunar months for it all to unfold - that's how much raw information/light for shifting began to come in. 

Lucky for us we have two lunar months that are like month-long Gibbous Moon phase, the time of the year when magic and mystery pepper our psyches to help us understand and integrate.  This year, we have an extended period of time that is "feminine" - receptive.  Between now until October 11, 2015, we are the beneficiaries of the dreaming magic of Gaia Sophia to help us gain wisdom and fall back in love with life.

Please utilize the list of True Alignments (positive imprints) and Catalysts for Change (negative imprints) above for guidance today because I want to spend the time here talking about August 15, "Wave X," or "Kathe's Wave" as I prefer to call it.

What I have to offer to the discussion is that in the Greek Orthodox Church (which, along with the Russian Orthodox Church, is where the ancient Gnostic or worldwide knowledge of Gaia Sophia maintained as much cohesion as was possible) the holiday or holy day of August 15 is known as The Dormition of the Thetokos or the Falling Asleep of The Mother.  It is a memory or remembrance that Gaia Sophia fell asleep or began dreaming soon after her coalescence as a physical being (our planet).

Tomorrow's efforts of the large hadron collider, timed to the Dormition, are an attempt to put Sophia, the planet and thus us, back to sleep.  It's an attempt to take us backwards -- in reverse of life, consciousness, and joy.  It will not work.  But the magic of Kathe's Wave and the ferocity of the Wisdom Goddess Bhairavi to bring us into higher states of spirituality, connection, and UNITY - along with the intentions of beautiful human souls around the planet - are far more powerful than the large hadron contraption.  It simply won't work.  Truth and love prevails now.

How does two months of magic to re-enchant the world sound to you?  Sounds pretty good to me.  No Fear.  Find beauty.  Attend to wisdom.

Catalysts for Change: showing off/bragging/arrogance, conquests, confused, two faced, selfish/only considering one's own needs and desires, conformity, trying to maintain the status quo when it no longer is working, gossip, learned helplessness

True Alignments: taking others into account, impressive displays of the heart, making an effort, rewards for hard work, point of observation, hope, living life, compassion, dreams and aspirations, the "ideal" being revealed, seeing beyond the shadows

Today is the last day of the Balsamic Moon phase, the phase where we release any elements (feelings, thoughts, beliefs, etc.) of the past lunar month that we do not want to carry forward into the next lunar month, which begins tomorrow.

One of the good things about following the Moon phases, and thus aligning with natural (nature) cycles, is that it provides a structure or framework for walking through life in conscious connection.  Essentially, we walk a Medicine Wheel with the Divine instead of wandering around willy-nilly or floating in space without any sense of patterns and cycles.  Following the phases is grounding and purposeful.

As we close out this cycle of the Moon (and we do so with the Queen of Closing, Dhumavati), things may feel very transitory or in flux today.  This lunar month has been a turning point, so things that still need to turn a certain way will today.

The Sun will complete the energy of the Sabian symbol "intoxicated chickens dizzily flapping their wings trying to fly."  Things may require extra effort to get going.  Our minds can be scattered when the Sun is here, so we won't be too hard on ourselves about it.  In fact, new opportunities emerge when things scatter.  The mystery of what was unintended - the Unknown - can unfold.

Closings and endings can feel like loss, and this is emphasized by the Earth completing the energy of the Sabian symbol "a woman, disappointed and disillusioned, courageously facing a seemingly empty life."  This is one of the most emotionally-challenging of the 360 symbols.  When we have the courage to face something, the outcome changes; what seemed hopeless or forgone suddenly begins to open into something new and different.  The key here is the courage to face.  And within this lies a certain degree of acceptance.

There is a strong current of energy today that pushes our will -- our desire -- forward.  Actions undertaken for the benefit of all heavily amplified, and actions undertaken to the detriment of all will backfire.

It's very important to consider things from another's point of view or from the other side today.  This is because some things may not be clear to us right now.  Consider how someone else involved may think or feel.

Today also highlights any "places" where we are living in accordance with what others want for us and not in accordance our own will or desire.  This may spark through anger.

The "castaways" on the island in South Seas spot a white bird.  It has something to deliver to them.  "A carrier pigeon fulfilling its mission" is the Sabian symbol for the new lunar month that starts tomorrow.  What could the message be?

Skill: continue to hold the line and hold the space as shift occurs, especially as the day continues

Catalysts for Change:  unreceptive to change, inexperience, overindulgence in alcohol (this is not a day to take risks with anything is alcohol is involved), putting on too much pressure, disillusioned and disappointed and wallowing in it (it's just a teacher), getting nowhere, trendy, not grounded in the value of the present moment, gloom

True Alignments: endurance, gaining wisdom through reading something unexpected, breaking through illusion, projecting future plans but remaining grounded in reality, originality, reconnecting, humor, patience with self, radiation of inner light

Today's energetics may become progressively confusing and frustrating as the day expands, so let's focus on what's happening beyond this.  When we can see ahead, it makes us feel like we are prepared or more at peace.  It's not necessary to look ahead to feel this way, because we are always held in divine support. 

Nonetheless, let's break it down now in a short summary that I will expand on when the New Moon is Leo overview is recorded tomorrow:

1- THE NEW MOON APPROACHES and with it a new lunar month's type of energy.  The New Moon is in Leo on Friday, August 14 at 10:52 am ET/2:52 pm UT at 22 Leo.  The Sabian symbol for the new lunar month is "a carrier pigeon fulfilling its mission."  I will talk much more about this symbol in the recording, but this is about communication, messages, waves, and goals.  The point to catch today is that we move out of the watery, emotional realms of Cancer and into the fiery action of Leo.  That's a big elemental change.  So the feelings that come from this sort of switch can be confusing and testing, but ultimately TRANSFORMATIONAL.  This past month has been a shift point - a turning point - when we transition from things being one way to another.  As this lunar month completes over today and tomorrow, shift will happen.

2- VENUS CONJUNCTS THE SUN just a day later on Saturday, August 15 -- a much-discussed day.  Venus is retrograde so it is COMING BACK to the Sun and meeting up at 23 Leo.  23 Leo is the energy of "a bareback rider in a circus displays her dangerous skill."  This is the heart of it.  Shift will be acrobatic. The conjunction of Venus and the Sun happens in tight trine (120 degrees; facilitative) to Uranus, and thus the Eris Point since this is where Uranus is located.  A great deal of anxiety is also built in because, when Uranus is activated, it perturbs or shakes-up people, places, and things.  It can drive people, places, and things crazy if it happens too quickly.  But it is all about putting things in proper alignment with what is highest and best and what is in our destiny.  However, and most importantly, all of this energy provides a great deal of LOVE, which is spreading in waves all over the planet bringing greater truth, freedom, and unity.

3- JUPITER AND THE BLACK MOON WILL MOVE TO NEW DEGREES IN VIRGO on Saturday also.  Jupiter will move to the second degree and the Black Moon will move to the last.  Jupiter goes outward and the Black Moon goes inward as they take the opportunity to make us more luminous - more of the "luminous child" notion, as discussed in the latest "Parliament of Wise Owls" (POWO) posted and linked on oraclereport.com. This dynamic is intense and can feel like being pulled apart.  This is especially true right now for those with the Sun or Black Moon in Virgo or Pisces, and I will post a special audio message to these wise owls later today about what may help the process.

We watch all of the events, circumstances, conditions, and situations today from the perspective of observing shift.  The old is being released so that the new can enter.  We continue to hold the line and hold the space as shift occurs.

Skill:  turn to the light for guidance and assistance in rising above

Catalysts for Change: overwhelm of feelings (particularly of failure and vulnerability/exposure and victimization), attempts to dominate, minimizing self or role, malicious, fixated on the past, hopelessness, refusing to see that light is shining, jealousy, denial, overly-competitive

True Alignments: relief, infusions of light, broken "spells," brave face and masks falling away, solace, trust, playing music to feel better, gentle approach, heart-centered, stabilized, rainbows, messages, wisdom revealing itself

Jupiter's thunderbolts and it's Doves of Peace entered Virgo at 7:13 am ET/11:13 today, offering the energy of the Sabian symbol for 01 Virgo: "in a portrait, the best of a man's features and traits are idealized." Since this is the degree where Venus went retrograde on July 25, the themes of seeing the truth are activated once again. 

And for a jump ahead, after Venus begins to move forward again, it will come back to this degree --01 Virgo-- and re-activate the massive "truth" energy associated with it on October 8, just prior to the very important Libra lunar cycle that begins on October 12.  Events between today and Saturday correlate directly back to July 19-31 and then to October 12, so we can make a note and track the pattern -- the evolution of the situations, circumstances, and conditions taking place.

That said, it's a hard slam and a deep dive for Jupiter to enter Virgo while the Black Moon is trying to leave it.  Jupiter stands at one end of Virgo and the Black Moon at the other.  Jupiter expands.  The Black Moon reveals.  We are in the middle.  Hyper-expansion, hyper-criticism, hyper-self-criticism, hyper-perceptions of failure, hyper-focus, hyper-martyrdom, hyper-self sabotage, hyper-self-persecution are what come from this combination of the planets.

What do we do?  We hit the "hyper drive" and move out of it, rise above it.  All that is needed to do this is provided by the energetics of the Sun and the Earth today.  The Sun is disseminating "American Indians perform a ritual to the Sun" and the Earth is disseminating "a large white dove bearing a message."  We turn to the light for guidance and assistance.

When Jupiter went into Virgo earlier today, the Moon was in opposition with Pluto.  This adds a hyper-emotional but hyper-transformational element to the process.  TRUTH and losing illusions remains at high levels until Saturday, August 15 at 10:19 pm ET/Sunday, August 16 at 2:19 am UT.  Denial is broken and delusions are shattered as truth, light, peace, and love override everything.

As discussed yesterday, the Moon in Cancer during a Balsamic Moon phase makes things very, very watery, emotional, and fluid.  This continues to be the case today so we moderate that by slowing down, taking deep breaths, going outdoors, connecting with nature, seeing beyond the surface of what is showing, bravely facing whatever we see about ourselves or others, and accepting the real truth of matters.

Guidance and assistance is found today through prayers or requests or questions to Spirit and then saying thank you.  What we need to know or see or hear or do will soon become evident.  This we know from the Sabian symbols of the "American Indians sun ritual" and the "large white dove carrying a message."

All of this is leading, as we are leading, into the New Moon at the energy of the Sabian symbol of "a carrier pigeon fulfilling its mission."  Today, we get the message and we see it unfold throughout the next lunar month.  We attend to its wisdom.
