First Quarter Moon Phase: step out (of comfort zone) and take action (engage your will)

Moon in Pisces

Goddess of Wisdom: Kali, Goddess of Endings and Beginnings, The Mother

God of Will/Desire: Elias, God of the West, God of Alchemy and Elements

Skill: do it a different way

True Alignments: attuning to cosmic phases, observing from a distance, objectivity, seeing the true nature, strength in tradition, guidance, destinations and goals understood, fresh perspectives and alternatives, true enrichment, scenes on the journey of life, grace under fire

Catalysts for Change: aimless or lost/out of sorts/disconnected, extreme indecision, falling into watery depths of addictions, overly-focused on details, emotional underworlds, words that cut, illusions, secrets coming to light, self-sabotaging decisions

Sabian Symbol for the Solar-Lunar Month: "a Jewish rabbi performing his duties"

Sabian Symbol for the Solar-Lunar Year: "the music of the spheres"

The light of the Great Moon Mirror in the Sky continues to grow, illuminating new paths or expansions of the path we are on.

Today's energy takes us along familiar roads, places, or mental spaces we have been before.  Mercury, The Traveler and The Messenger, travels to the degree of "circular paths," which brings blasts from the past, repeating situations and choices, and, most importantly, the opportunity to do something differently -- to do it better based on what's been experienced and learned.

Adding it's role to the production, the Sun moves into Scorpio and begins to disseminate the energy of "a sight-seeing bus filled with tourists."  Essentially, we are offered a ride to "places" we have never been before - places we may even have been afraid to visit.  This should be thought of in terms of beliefs, ideas, ideals, feelings, wishes, dreams, and hopes.  The key element of this Sabian symbol is the sight-seeing bus -- a vehicle of transcendence, as it takes us to places we have never seen.  Some of these places we couldn't possibly imagine being in, yet circumstances have made it so.

It's a lucky thing to be on a sight-seeing bus, filled with others in the same situation, when a Full Moon is illuminating new paths.  Things that we could not see before, we are seeing now.

And, just in case we don't see (or don't want to see) a new path or way, at 1:17 pm ET/5:17 pm UT (thereabout, remember energy moves in waves), the Moon will conjunct Neptune at 8 Pisces and send "a girl blowing a bugle" at the crossroads.  It is wise to pay attention to what develops during that two-hour window.  We are shown something important to make sure we do not miss it.

The Great Mirror is also reflecting light off of "a clear mountain stream" - the degree of the location of the Earth today.  Vitality, refreshment, and clarity are offered with this energy.  The sight-seeing bus always follows the course of the clear mountain stream when the Sun and Earth are in these positions, so the way is divinely guided.  It cometh from down the mountain.

Venus, always delivering beauty, brings us a magnificent scene on the landscape as she moves to the degree of "a family tree."  This tree happens to be watered by a clear mountain stream, so it is strong and wise.  It's traditions and stories are held throughout time.  Our ancestors teach us by us knowing about their lives.

This "family tree" is also the spiritual family of humanity, and that tree is the biggest and strongest one on the planet. Take note of the teachings of the trees today, and listen closely to see if an ancestor is trying to share something as wind whistles through the trees.

Some days the Sabian symbols come together like elements in a painting or scenes in a story.  In kind, the day often progresses to express the energies involved.  So, a certain part of one of today's symbols may feel very similar to something you experience.  Underneath the metaphor and imagery lies the heart (or root) of the matter - What needs to be healed?  What do we need to learn?

These two questions are the drivers to the approaching Full Moon (October 27 - around 8:00 am ET/noon UT) .  Why is it so important?  Because the Full Moon occurs at 4 degrees of Taurus, which happens to be the Chiron Point.  The Chiron Point is the degree in the sky where the planet Chiron was located when it was discovered.  It encapsulates the energetic, archetypal themes of Chiron - primarily wounding, healing, and teaching.  More on this later, but for now keep in mind what the undercurrent or understory or underpinning of the energy is: a mission to heal wounds and teach us something.

We still have the wondrous Gibbous Moon phase to go before the Full Moon, so much more is on the way to shine up the Great Mirror.  Today, we are watching and doing things a different way.  We are getting off the path that takes us in circles.  We forge ahead.
